I think you can spray it while it is sit in room temp. I wouldn't keep it warm or hot since it will create more bacteria or mold instead. When you spray out, the water come out as fine mist. Chameleon won't feel that cold. Beside Jackson love cold weather more than any

Make sure that he drink lot of water since Jackson require more humid than the other. Give him sometimes to adjust for a week and if he still not eating, you can start worry.
