That is correct during the day. At night If you’re trying to get humidity up, you’ll need to close it off.
Alot of us that fog, we close up the air vents on the side or bottom to allow for the fog to do what we’re trying to do. Otherwise the fog is just rolling right out the bottom of your...
Ah yeah makes sense.
Try making a removable piece to cover the bottom access door. One of my cages is this way too, and I have to cover the access door every night to keep the fog in. Try that and post up the results tomorrow. I use a piece of corrugated plastic cut to size.
I find it interesting that your temperatures are going up and down like that too, and I’m pretty sure the humidity is related to it. I Wouldn’t expect so much fluctuation in the middle of the night on the temps. What’s causing the plus and minus of 2 degrees all night on such a consistent pattern?
You’re fine where you’re at. If you want add a fan to Lower the humidity more before 10 that’s fine, but you don’t have to. Main thing is that you have airflow. So chimney effect and or fans.
The nice thing about the jungle Dawn LED bars are they are linkable. And if you get the Arcadia UVB hood that is also likable, so you could have them all linked and o my taking up 1 outlet plug.
I have 1 jungle dawn and then my UVB on all my cages. It lights up a 2x4 OK, but definitely would be...
Ha! Love the guess!
Both the male and female are thriving still. It’s amazing how much of their enclosure they use. They are a very active chameleon, if people like to sit and observe, this is a fantastic species to do that with. They use every inch of the 18x22x48” enclosure, and do many, many...
Little over three weeks in, and all 7 eggs are in good shape! Still white, no mold, no shrinking. I think we’re in for a hatch in the spring.
The Vecor incubator has been holding a very consistent temperature. Varies by about 1 degree is all, pretty impressive thus far.
He looks great! Lots of white!! I wish I had another female ready now to send your way. I think theirs some sisters to mine floating around, I’ll poke around..
Oh no quite the opposite! The enclosure is amazing, but I’m considering going down to 18x36 enclosures for the adults, and bioactive. I have limited space, so this would allow me to fit a trio and 10 baby cages all in the same footprint that this cage takes.
It’s going well, I’ll go do an...
Anyone interested in a custom enclosure? I’m located in Boise. Would be pick up only. Maybe, could figure out a drop off if you’re in Utah. I am moving to smaller species, and need the room for more cages.
54” long, 22” deep. The cage portion is 48” tall. The base is 36” tall, so 7’ overall...
I have eggs incubating, my female is a clutch mate to Fred. Follow my Boehmei breeding project thread, should have babies available come summer time or so.
One week in and all 7 eggs still look great!!
I decided my home temperatures were a little too variable for comfort to incubate at room temp. I ended up ordering a Vevcor incubator to try out. I have had it running since Wednesday, and it is keeping very consistent temperatures thus far.
I am...
Thanks Jeremy! Been waiting on this day for about.. 15 years since I had my first Kinyongia Multitubularculata. Very excited to finally be to this point and giving it a run. Especially when theirs virtually no Kinyongia being bred in the US.
I’ll be back on the thread in a few weeks for an...
