He is about right at 3 months old. I'm going to boost his temps a little more when he gets larger but I don't want him to have complications from too much heat.
I give my chameleon about 15-20 crickets or roach nymphs daily dusted in reptical without d3, suppliment with a d3 suppliment the first week of every month, and herpi-vite the last week of the month. He is in an extra large reptibreeze with a dripper system going at about one drop per every 5-6...
My veiled chameleon has been very dull ever since I got him about 2 weeks ago. Is this the first sign of shedding or is it a health issue? He is very active and frequently drinks from his dripper system he also eats about 15-20 medium crickets daily with a calcium without d3. He is supposed to...
I recently upgraded my enclosure to a very spacious 36x36x60 and it is a complete mesh cage and I was wondering how do I go about setting up my dripper system on top? Do u cut a hole for the tube to go through or what?
Yes I just used what ever was available at the time at a pet shop near me. With d3 or without, I didn't learn of the "d3 schedule" until about a year after I had her.
I got her as a rescue when she was supposedly 2-3 years old. Someone brought her in because they where tired of her and just where done with the whole cricket keeping. I was inexperienced with chameleons when i took her in so hard to say if she really lived to 16 or just 14 not knowing how large...
Bought a 10 oz container of calcium with no d3 that will more than likely last my entire life lol it's huge! And I have herp-vite as well as a suppliment with d3. I have a schedule that the breeder has given me; suppliment with calcium with d3 the once the first week every month then a...
Talked to the breeder and he marked him with a SAFE dye so he didn't accidentally ship my baby out to someone else. I panicked as soon as I noticed it. He said it should come off with the next shed and Echo started to shed about 15 minutes ago.
My new veiled chameleon has a little black dot right in the center of his head. It's not a mite, I can easily distinguish mites from skin. It's a little blackish grey spot. What is this? He also has black marks outlining the yellow when he gets angry, but this isn't like this. I've had him for...
I'm very pleased with him and how well he is doing. He has very pretty oranges down his sides (just can't see it right now because he's going into shed)
I bough him from a very reputable breeder that I have purchased animals from before and I have always been thoroughly satisfied with the...
I just got my little male veiled today and I am super happy to have the little one around! Gave him some water as soon as he got here and offered food but he doesn't want any. He looks like he is about to go into shed as well. When will he start eating for me? I know he's stressed from the...
Of course insects are going to make up the bulk of his diet I'm going to say... maybe 70% then the rest be vegetation that he nibbles on himself or whatever I provide.
I will give an assortment of the greens listed to vary his diet. As for fruits I would only use them as treats maybe every other month or so a sliver of fruit and a couple wax worms. :)
What percentage of his diet should be veggies?
