Shedding issue?

My veiled chameleon has been very dull ever since I got him about 2 weeks ago. Is this the first sign of shedding or is it a health issue? He is very active and frequently drinks from his dripper system he also eats about 15-20 medium crickets daily with a calcium without d3. He is supposed to be a very bright green but he looks like a greyish brown.

His temps are 80-85 basking spot and about 70-75 degrees under the foliage. He is misted several times a day and allowed to drink freely from his dripper I also hand water him 2-3 times a day to insure adequate water intake.

how are you measuring your temps?

and if your basking temp is really only 80 at any point, its too low.

they turn dark when cold, not just stressed.

I have a suggestion to put more horizontal vines or branches for him to walk on up higher in the enclosure.
