Tiny black spot on my veileds head?

My new veiled chameleon has a little black dot right in the center of his head. It's not a mite, I can easily distinguish mites from skin. It's a little blackish grey spot. What is this? He also has black marks outlining the yellow when he gets angry, but this isn't like this. I've had him for almost a full day and I noticed it as soon as I unboxed him. Just didn't think anything of it then.

It's definitely not a "little" spot.

It looks like it might be a burn, but burns usually peel off and start getting pink after a while.

It could be a burn, fungus, an abcess, some kind of scab, etc.

Looks mostly like a burn, but I'm not really sure

Talked to the breeder and he marked him with a SAFE dye so he didn't accidentally ship my baby out to someone else. I panicked as soon as I noticed it. He said it should come off with the next shed and Echo started to shed about 15 minutes ago.
