Kepler was 100% normal today; he ate and drank like normal. In the middle of the night I hear a noise from his cage and go over to investigate. I find that he's fallen over in his sleep, turning the room lights on here's what it looked like (enhanced brightness):
He wasn't moving so I...
I had Kepler outside today for a short period of time while I cleaned his cage (~95-100F)...I was holding him suddenly felt all of his claws dig into me to the point where it became painful. I forced one of his hands off of my finger and noticed that he was still squeezing like a madman. I...
Thanks for the kind words everyone!
Yea he's much better. He hasn't grabbed himself since October of last year. I'm not 100% what the problem was...but after upgrading to a wider cage, switching to repashy calc+, and improving my gutload proceedure things have been much better. He suffers...
Hey everyone, Kepler is just over 1 year old and I wanted to share some pictures of how he's colored up throughout the months. He's a very mild tempered blue bar amilobe from TikiTiki.
The day we got him: May 15, 2011
stressin on June 25, 2011

Ok 4+ weeks have passed since putting the eggs in the fridge....I got some silkworm chow from mullberry as well.
Do I simply remove them from the fridge and stick em in with the food? Or is there some other things I should do first? Thanks!
I have some Repashy vitamin A+, I'd like to give it a shot to help his aim. How often should I dust with it? And I'm assuming dusting 1 feeder will be sufficient.
It is the darker screening. He does however have a branch that runs directly under the bulb.
~5months
yes, about once an hour for 1 minute.
Here in Las Vegas it's pretty difficult to keep the humidity up. He seems very happy otherwise so I don't think that is an issue.
Is there any...

I've been noticing lately that Kepler's aim is not that great. His tongue always shoots a bit too high and it seems to be causing him some frustration since he rarely gets the kill on the first try. He often has to get quite close in order to make the catch. Has anyone encountered this with...
from what I can tell I only have a single female. She seems to be connected to this male and they have yet to disconnect - is this ok? Or should I do something crazy like rip em apart?
WARNING, MOTH PORN BELOW [NSFW!]
I got a bunch of Silkworms a few weeks back from mulberry farms. Unfortunately my cham wasn't quick enough to eat all of them and I ended up with about ~7 cacoons that just started to emerge. I now have 4 beautiful white moths...now what do I do with them!? I've read that they don't eat...is...
Has anyone experienced their chameleon 'throw up' a goo'y clear mucous after a long drink? I've been reading about URIs and he doesn't seem to be presenting any of the other symptoms. Plus he's only done this twice; both times after a long drink while he was outside (temps ~70-75 in the shade).
not sure how you missed my thread, but here it is for reference (includes pictures of him grabbing himself).
Kepler was grabbing himself almost daily and getting stuck. I took him to the vet and got a full workup done, and he saw no problems and hence was unable to help. I tried vitamin A...
