Yea, I would cut the time down to at least 40 seconds per spray. It also depends on how humid things are in the house. Right now, here in Pa, well, the humidity is up from rain and fog, but I had to turn down the my monsoon the other week because the bottom of the cage was not drying out (it...
I just got my ambi today and he looks pretty much the same. As others said, it can take a few sheds before colors show. I did see some barring there on your pic. Keep him feed, use a uvb/uva bulb and gut load the feeders and dust with proper supplements and he will turn out fine.
I got the repitmist at a good price when I was getting thing together for my cham. I got it home and wanted to see how it misted and it more or less squirts not a mist. I saw the reviews shortly after I got it and before I tested it and I ended up returning it. I got my monsoon off amazon and...
I just ordered from Costal last night and supposedly has shipped already (I just checked) and I got my hornworm egg pods from Great lakes and they are great as well. I will be more than likely ordering more from them in a week or so. This is my first batch of silks, and I hear they are better...
I have been wondering this for a while now. Anyone ever try to feed their cham a stink bug? I have given them to my beardies in the past, not very often though. I never say any adverse effects, was mainly if one was in my room, I would throw it in with the beardies.
I too have used great lakes hornworms, they are prompt and very lively. I got two cups of eggs, which are still growing. I thought I would get them that way since they grow so fast and with enough food for my juv to get them to 3/4-1" size. I also got some at a show last week and they didn't...
I came home today and was told he was shedding...was is the key word. Whoever said it is like they burst...was not kidding! It looks like his skin blew off all over the bottom. I got some new, bigger scheffleras last night and took the small one out and only washed them off and didn't get a...
How long have you had your monsoon? Do you pour the water in thru the hole in the lid or lift off the whole top to refill? A guy on amazon.com has figured things out. Tho the cutting and reseating the hoses inside I don't think does much, but that fill hole in the top...isn't sealed well and...
I too feed in the morning before I goto work when the lights are out. I do give him some more after I get home a lot as well since he's a juv yet. My veiled I have yet to see actually drinking...I have seen him with his mouth opening and closing after a misting as if he may have been, but is...
Thanks. I got some hornworms of larger size this last weekend at the show and pulled someout and made another cup with screening for gutloading with lettuce and some bug burger. I appreciate the info.
I've noticed, if it doesn't really move, and should, my veiled won't eat it. If a cricket croakes in the feeder cup, it is there when I empty it. Just like the two hornworms today that were barely moving or not moving at all, he didn't eat them.
I can 2nd the pothos, I did feed it and it is growing fast. Since I bought small plants before I got my cham, I have been growing them. I recently re potted the small ficus, and fertilized both the ficus and pothos (not in the cage yet). Pothos I keep turning the hanging basket every few days...
I got my hornworms today from great lakes hornworms. I got two 50 ct egg cups, got maybe like 12-20 hatched in each, might be more, and have enough food to get them to 3/4-1". Got them that way becuase fingolfin is a juvi yet and was curious if bug burger would work as sub food.
