im watching my veiled cham shed for the first time. and i just witnessed him eating some of the shedding that he just dropped. he's only a lil over 2 months old. i guess my question is, is that normal?

i know when purchasing a new plant for my chams cage, to rinse it off first then replant it in different soil. my only question is, what potting soil should i use, that will be safe for my cham.
