The vet said that it looked fine and that it was just the tail tip that would fall off. He did say though that if it did look to spread to come back but was looking fine at this stage.

Yeah I think that's probably whats happening. He wanders a lot. I've been applying antispetic cream to it that the vet gave me a while back for a poor;y tail so I'll persist with that. Is there anything else I can do to stop him doing it?
