Jaguars are Panthers, Panthers are Jaguars, Potato Potatoe! :P I always loved these markings of the panthers at the zoo I volunteered at when I was younger. Aren't they amazing? Such beautiful animals, I want one of THOSE in my creature room! However, it might eat my bulldog...
And I am...
Ooohhhh Tiger Lilly... I like that! Her name is Azteca (after the fierce Jaguar Warriors that the Aztecs were known for. Jaguars are a type of panther :) )
Thank you, Lance! This is the little lady I plan on breeding him with in August-ish. Her father was a red-bar, so I am super excited to see what these two will bring out! Bagheera was just too handsome to not find a lady-friend for!
He sure thinks he is a champion! As soon as the timers flick on those lights, I walk in to his pretty face wanting that breakfast. He knows what time it is! :)
If he ever runs away (in Indiana), I will be such a sad individual! He likes to stretch out his arms and "give hugs" to anyone that walks by... Something tells me he would hug the wrong thing!
And he definitely does not savor his food! He inhales it!
So... much... cuteness... How many hatched? They are perfect little chameleons, how long did you have to wait for them to hatch out? Congratulations to you and momma chameleon!
Thank you to all of you for the very nice comments :) Funny how these pretty little guys can just work their way into our hearts. Never thought I would be a chameleon person :)
I love walking in every morning to be greeted by these guys. I just wanted to share my joy :)
Bagheera started a shed today, and he was a little pouty about the annoying skin around his pretty face
Little Fili is out with her most unamused face. Very full of character for something so...
I'm sure he appreciated his mother storming in and taking him out of the shower quickly and rudely.... Lol!
Glad that that is probably all it was, I have not experienced a prolapse, and always go right to the worst thing!
So I was giving Bagheera a warm shower today (he is shedding and moody), and I went in and noticed that he had a little pink/red lump sticking out of his tail-vent. Freaking out, I took him to the sink (thinking that it was a possible prolapse). I took a moist Q-tip and touched it... and it...
First off, to clear the air, I have had 2 female veileds, and both have been incredibly sweet :) Loved them both dearly! As for common "nice" species, it really can be luck of the draw. I have a male veiled who is awesome, a male panther who is awesome, and a female panther who wants to eat...
I am very sorry to hear of your family's loss. I am so happy to hear that Baby was such a joy in your life for so many years. I know she touched all of your hearts. Animals are such a blessing in our lives, and they are so precious. She loved you, and we are here for you in your time of loss.
