RIP Baby

Today my family lost our beloved Baby. She was a pitbull/lab mix and a huge part of our family. I know this is mainly a forum for chams but i thought it appropriate to write in the In Memoriam forum about our Baby. She was just shy of her 14th birthday when she passed on today. She had been sick for the last month and had developed 2 abscesses on her throat. There was nothing we could do for her as it was already too late to be reversed. She held on for the last month and got to say goodbye to all of her people. Yesterday my mom took her to the park where she ran and played and 'fought' with the creek as she always does. It was an amazing last day for her and she had the time of her life. Today she passed away in her sleep while taking a nap with my mom, her favorite thing to do second only to play with her 'kids' as we always called ourselves. Even tho we were expecting her passing to come soon it is still such a shock to know i wont see her smiling face run up to me and want to play. We will dearly miss our Baby and we will always cherish the memories we have of her. We love you Baby, more then words could ever say...

yes she lived a long and full life filled with lots of people who loved her. we were her pack and she'll always be with us in our hearts and memories.
thank you. it's reassuring to be able to share a story of a family member we loved and have others feel the same way. our family will really miss her but i'm glad that we have so many years of memories to keep with us

thank you everyone for the responses. we dropped Baby off to be cremated today and we be having a little memorial for her with all the family..
