    Houdini

He was in his outside cage, I found no way he could have gotten out, of course I stuck him in it to try and see how he did it but he just looked at me like "no way lady". To get to the pine tree he had to get out of the cage, go about 3 feet, over a 1 foot wall with a 3 foot drop on the other...

    Houdini

Here are a few pictures of Houdini, our little escape artist. He's so sneaky and SO good I hiding as many Chams are. We had a scare with him when he escaped a cage and wound up at the top of a pine tree, his name then changed to Houdini. No idea how he did it but he did (that cage is no...

    Female..gravid? stressed? normal?

If she is in fact gravid when should I start to worry. Like I said she was lumpy March 3rd, she got huge and I was sure she'd lay any day. Then she got small again, I'm not sure if that is because all of a sudden we got some really cold weather here? Now she's big again but how long do I wait...

    Female..gravid? stressed? normal?

I tried lowering the temps but she gets dark when I do so maybe she is just gravid and that's the cause of the closeness. I know you're supposed to keep females at lower temps but she gets super dark when I lower them and I tried to put a 65watt bulb in but then I came home one day and saw she...

    Female..gravid? stressed? normal?

Can she be stressed? Is it normal for a Cham to hold it's body close to the branches? I tried researching everywhere but the only explanation I can find is stress. I'm just not sure what would be stressing her, does anyone have any idea based on my husbandry what could be the cause of stress...

    Female..gravid? stressed? normal?

okay.. But what about holding her body close to the branches and not roaming her whole cage up and down as she usually does? Are those also normal for a gravid Cham? I'm worried something is wrong does anyone have insight they can offer here? Are my husbandry specs seeming good?

    Can Chamelsons eat these?

They don't have the huge legs like a crane fly and we do have those out here so I don't think it;s the same thing. These are much smaller. Here is another picture of one I froze to get it still enough to take a picture. Their body is usually not that curled under.

    Can Chamelsons eat these?

There are these red flying insects, I'm not sure what they are but they are always flying around light posts at my house, I'm wondering if Chams can eat them? Sort of look like a big, long, flying ant. Does anyone know what they are called? I have a big fat alligator lizard living under my...

Using mist king for 2 cages...how?

Okay sorry I feel so clueless...so I'm assuming you somehow attach the current nozzle to this? I'm completely horrible at assembling gadgets and getting a picture in my head of how it would fit together. Where does the second nozzle attach on the t valve?

Using mist king for 2 cages...how?

Okay so I just purchased a mist king starter kit. I wanted if for my female Cham's cage but now I feel that I should also hook it to my male's cage even though he's never had issues being hydrated and I actually see him to from leaf to leaf drinking. Figure better to have it than not to. BUT...

    Dubia Questions

I am looking to start breeding Dubias. I found someone local that is looking to thin out his colony and I'm thinking about buying some. I read online that you should make sure you don't buy ones that are older or past reproducing age and that it's best to get large nymphs. BUT my questions...

Oh how I love this forum site! Thank you all so much, I feel super relieved!! I'm just finishing up redoing both my Cham cages with new plants much needed since I'm finding which ones didn't survive so well and my ficus literally has almost every leaf bitten off due to my male leaf eater;)...
