I just wanted to know if super worms were okay for a Juvenile (4-5 months) Jackson chameleon, and if so, what should I be feeding the super worms to gut load them?
So I'm thinking about getting my Jackson chameleon the Monsoon misting system and I wanted to get some ideas on draining systems. What are some good ideas? Thank you!
Hey everyone,
I just wanted to get some information about shedding. It's not that time yet for Momo, but i want to make sure that he has the right environment and has the ability to shed properly. He's a juvenile (4-5 months) and I had just got him about a week ago. I'm not sure of when he...
Basking branch...got it. I'll get on that right away. Yes, those are his basking temps. is that too high? it usually never gets hotter than 75 in there. I have the Herbtivite and a calcium with D3. I lightly dust his food with calcium daily, and use the Herbtivite twice a week. What would you...
WOW, he looks awesome! I love the vibrant colors. What have you been feeding him? He looks so healthy and full! I have a Juvenile Jackson and I want him to look as healthy and strong as Jimmy one day.
Haha yeah I figured it was a little small for him. I'll take your advice and invest in bigger terrarium. Well right now he's eating about 3-5 silk worms a day. His temp ranges from 70-80F degrees and his humidity levels range from 60-90. Thanks for for all your help!
Hey everyone,
Attatched here are a few pictures of my setup. If you find anything wrong with it, or something I should do differently, please feel free to reply with any recommendations.
Terrarium: W16in. x L15in. x H29in
Lighting: 1 UVB 5.0 Reptisun, and 60 watt basking clamp lamp...
Hey everyone,
I'm a new chameleon owner and I was just wondering what kinds of fruits and vegetable I can feed my chameleon? How should I prepare the food, and how should I feed it to him?
My Jackson gets like that too. I have to keep my terrarium very moist inorder for him to lighten up a bit during the day. I'm sure you already know this but I would invest in the Reptifogger, or a mister too keep it a little cooler, or any type of humidifier of some sort. From what I've read...
Awesome! Thank you for your replies. Also, should I be worried about his darkish color during the day? His tank is 16x16x25, the temp ranges from 70-80F, and the humidity ranges from 60-90. Will he start becoming more green during the day the more he gets used to my presence?
How long does it take for a chameleon to get used to you and not stress out when you're around?
I'm a new owner of Jackson's Chameleon and I just wanted to get some information on health and safety. I've had him for about a week.
Also, during the day he's a darkish greenish color with...
Thank you so much! What is your opinion on feeder bowls? Should I be keeping a consistent amount of food for him in the enclosure when it comes to crickets or dubia roaches?
About an inch. Am I feeding him right by hand feeding him or leaving it on a branch, or am I stressing him out by doing that and suppressing his hunger?
So I've had my Juvenile Jackson's Cham for about a week now but he still isn't eating the proper amount of insects that he should be eating throughout the day. He is only eating about 3-5 gut loaded silk worms a day when I know they should be eating exponentially more. The temp. stays in a range...
