If he's enjoying worms maybe you could try silkworms. Silkworms are very good for your chameleon and they can make up a large part of his diet. My Cham cannot resist them.
Update on Loki. It down to 59 degrees in the house last night. Still no power. Just got done moving him over to mom and dads house! Power is running. Fed him some silk worms. He's happy again I hope. I just hate moving him around. Don't want to stress him out. Once power goes back on he has to...
Ok thanks. I'm assuming it's gonna get into the low 60's or upper 50's tonight. No power like the rest of Michigan ! I only misted him once today. I guess I should wait till tomorrow to mist him again since it's gonna be cold tonight ?
Hello my 1 yr old buddy Loki lost power in his cage at our house. Don't really have anywhere to take him. Power out sense 11am. His cage is currently 68 f. He's in my truck right now heating him up. Will he be ok in his cage tonight without power.? Hasn't had much uvb today
I use the same product. I dust every feeding and sometimes every night other. Just use a pinch of it every time you use it. Don't over do it. Dust lightly. Great product !
I do believe one eye open and one eye closed can be a sign of a vitamin A deficiency. That would be my only concern. You said there was nothing in her eye.
You could also try si.kworms if your boy likes worms. Silks are very good for your cham and can be part of his staple diet. Nutrition is great and they help keeping your animal hydrated. You can order them from coastal silkworms. I order them their all the time. They come in a pod. Food already...
I wouldn't feed him meal worms they can lead to impaction. I have a friend who was feeding his chameleon meal worms. He became impacted and died. Meal worms are hard for some chameleons to pass do to there hard shell. Good luck with your new buddy
I'm new to chams. Got my first one back in December. I have heard mixed reviews. My question is are silkworms a food you can feed to your cham all the time? I have heard they are very good for them and they are a food along with crickets you can give all the time.
