It was the same with my female, solid green with little black patterns some times. Then one day she turned brown, and the next day when I was cleaning cages she flashed me all those nice pastel colors. Now her resting color is green with fiery red stripes, she is gorgeous. I would love to see...
They are so awesome, you should definitely get one ASAP!
Thanks for the kind words everyone!
If anyone else has some carpet pictures, I would love to see them!
From looking at pictures of female (and male) carpets, I have seen that there
is a wide range of colors and patterns on these...
My little Green Bean is growing up and showing some real nice colors these days. Here are a few pictures to show. Hopefully will be getting a male soon... Just have to convince the parents. Haha.
Let me know what ya think of her!
And sorry for not being the best camera man, i am learning...
Good point, just changed it.
Thanks for posting those pictures Dooley1, they are awesome!
Does anybody have any recorded weights on some adults? Or would anyone mind doing me a favor and weighing one of theirs? I can't find anything anywhere on the adult weight of Carpets.
Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the kind comments about my Carpet.
I figured it was a girl after the first month I had her, but I wasn't sure. Thanks for confirming. The sex was not really a big deal, since I was eventually planning on getting another of the opposite sex.
I got this Carpet...
Hey everyone,
Here are some pictures I took today of my Carpet chameleon.
The 1st picture is his resting colors. In the rest of the pictures he is sporting his "leave me alone" colors. He is still quite small yet, but he is growing quickly. In the 4th picture you can sort of see his extra...
I guess you answered your own question then. It's just unnecessary stress for your chameleon. One thing I see on most chameleon care sheets is to place a cage in a "low traffic area", meaning an area without a lot of constant movement (from ferrets).
Oh oops. :p My bad, i must have skipped over that thinking it was part of your signature. Thats really cool, in one picture the grasshopper looks sorta red. The grasshopper up here in Wisconsin are really green and brown, i think maybe a little bigger too. Very nice pics though.
