Feeder Bug Breeding - Help Wanted!

100%! I like to do fresh gutloading, but I know that might be hard to do. I do have a "mulch" of high calcium veggies and fruits in my freezer for my tortoise, so I may use that to help gutload too. :) I will read about the meal and superworms on the resource page. I know chameleons don't do...

Feeder Bug Breeding - Help Wanted!

I just realized I didn’t include pictures! The blue is the mealworm container and the white one is the superworms container. Also the breeder box I have the dubia’s in at the moment, and the hornworms haven’t been set up just yet. 🙂 The moths will be in this enclosure, with probably some pepper...

Feeder Bug Breeding - Help Wanted!

Hey y’all! So I live an hour away from the nearest GOOD feeder stores, and tired of taking a whole afternoon stuck in traffic getting bugs! i posted to my neighborhood page to see if others would be interested and I have an overwhelming response, so I decided to try my swing at breeding some...

Veiled Chameleon hanging out at the bottom of his enclosure

Thank you so much!! I’ll work on getting a panel that fits the whole side of the enclosure! For now, I’ll find something else to block his view! 😁

Veiled Chameleon hanging out at the bottom of his enclosure

Perfect! I do make sure it’s not too hot for sure. I had to change the wattage to the bulb down but it stays around 80-85 at the hottest. At the very bottom, they probably could see each other but Kato doesn’t go down there so I’m not sure if he’s maybe seeing the pots and the other enclosure...

Veiled Chameleon hanging out at the bottom of his enclosure

Those pictures of Cairo are the same chameleon! Sorry to be confusing. I just put two different photos so if anyone notices anything, it may help to have multiple pictures to refer too. 🙂

Veiled Chameleon hanging out at the bottom of his enclosure

That cup is for my Panther (Kato), who is much bigger! I just let him look inside the cups to see if he was interested but he just turned around and walked the other way. 😅

Veiled Chameleon hanging out at the bottom of his enclosure

Cairo the veiled chameleon is acting a bit strange. He is super active, trying to get out and he will hang out at the bottom of his enclosure. I did just upgrade him and Kato to a 2x2x4 enclosure and he seems to be okay most of the time, but sometimes he will go all the way to the bottom and...

Help! What are these? Should I throw these dubias out?

I looked at some of the threads but a lot of them had the black, fuzzy ones. They don’t seem to be bothering the Dubia’s so as long as they are just cleaning, I guess I’ll leave some of them in 😳😅

Help! What are these? Should I throw these dubias out?

I thought that too but then I also found some of these black beetles… I wonder if these worms turn into these? 😳

Help! What are these? Should I throw these dubias out?

Bought 1000 Dubia Roaches at this weekends reptile expo and when I put them in their new holding area, I found these weird worm like things! Are these bad? Can anyone identify them? Should I get rid of these dubias? 😩

Is it possible to drill holes into a Reptibreeze frame?

I’ll definitely watch for it! We may work on getting magnetized supports on the outside to help support the plants once they get bigger 🙂

No urate in my chameleons poop please help.

I am sure the admins will want you to fill out a husbandry form to ensure you have the correct setup for your chameleon, but I just wanted to point out the food situation. You should avoid feeding mealworms because they are very hard for chameleons to digest, and can cause blockages. Also...

Can I see a picture of everyone’s chameleon enclosure?

Here is mine! Just finished it today! 😁

Is it possible to drill holes into a Reptibreeze frame?

We went to Lowe’s! It’ll be in the section with the different nails and screws. It’s like a super small section but we used the largest square magnets for the hanging plants and the larger circle magnets for the branches. We used J-B Kwik Weld Epoxy to adhere the magnets to the sticks and...

Is it possible to drill holes into a Reptibreeze frame?

My husband and I used really strong magnets! They hold our smaller hanging plants well but I will say the weight limit isn’t super heavy but I keep the heavier plants at the bottom anyways. I used steel wire to hang the plants 🙂

    New Enclosure Check 💕

Finally saved for x-large enclosures for Kato and Cairo! It’s incredible to see the difference in sizes between the two enclosures! The extra large enclosure is 2x2x4, and I am happy to finally get my guys the correct setup. Before, I feel like they were happy but I’m sure they will be even...

    Stubborn Chameleon?

Hey @Beman! He can’t see Kato, there is a board between the both of them. Maybe he is still getting adjusted and maybe getting stressed, it’s just hard to tell since he doesn’t have the same color changes as Kato. Both of them have an appointment on Monday for exams and a fecal test so we can at...

    Stubborn Chameleon?

Yeah maybe. It’s hard to say to be honest. I called and emailed the vet clinic so let’s hope they can get him in and checked out. Better safe than sorry. 🙂

    Stubborn Chameleon?

They seem to be more sunken in some days over others. I’ve only handled him for the photo. I’ll go ahead and make him an appointment to see if we can get him looked it, or try at least. I’ll keep watering and observing. If it is dehydration, how long would it take their eyes not to be sunken?
