I would use kale instead of spinach for your crickets. Also, sweet potatoes are good for gutloading your insects.
Also, as previously mentioned, try not to handle your cham too much as he gets acclimated to his new home.
Good looking Jacksons!!!
Did you notice the darker colors while he was basking? Most chameleons tend to get dark as they're basking. They will sometimes gape as they bask also.
I'd like to get some feedback from experienced keepers to see how long you've been able to keep your chams in your care.
I know things can happen very quickly and unexpectedly with these creatures. So, I think it would be interesting to compare the different species life cycles.
If...
I've had her in my care for about a month now and she had grown from the boy I thought she was into a good looking pre-pubescent girl.
First pic is from Feb. 6 and the second is from today.
I think she will make a fine breeder. I will carefully search for her boyfriend as I only want the...
I think you may want to let it hatch on it's own. Too bad you lost one. It looks like it may have been developing well.
Again, my inclination would be to let it hatch naturally. Also, check around this site to be sure the conditions you are providing are ideal.
If you can be certain that the insect was not exposed to any pesticides or chemicals that could be harmful or fatal to your chameleon, you could feed it.

She won't even take dubia roaches any longer.
On the other hand, she still goes after crickets very aggressively.
My fear is that she is not...
Nick, I've done exactly as you described and she gives a quick glance and turns away.
I'm not sure what to do to get her to eat them.
But, at least, she has a healthy appetite for crickets and roaches.
HA! That's my girl who, so far, refuses to eat the hornworms that I present to her.
But, from what I've read, you should limit hornworms as they can be high in fat.
I'm sure others with much more knowledge will offer more information.
I'm using smaller hornworms. I'll keep trying. She goes crazy for crickets and will take about 6 from my hand before she walks away. But, she will not take a hornworm from my hand.
Well.... At this point, all of the silkworms are dead. They did not arrive in the best condition as the weather is very cold here in NH. So, I may try silks again, later. The hornworms are doing well but my cham seems to be afraid of them. I place one on a vine within her view and she...
