Silkworms are awesome "regular" feeders. They have great nutritional value and chameleons usually love them. They are very appealing to chameleons eyes and are good at breaking hunger strikes. They are a pain in the neck to care for though. They also don't bite which is another plus :D
My first veiled chameleon Boba loved them!! I put one in his cage and he moved faster then when he would go for a silkie!! It really surprised me. I think the only thing to be weary of is the hard shell.
I think if you can find some that you can put some roly polys in your terrarium as well. They can break down the bigger poops faster than springtails, I believe. Your Cham will eat them too. They are high in chitin though...

I think I read somewhere that the species of calumma hilleniusi or something like that is known to swim and cross rivers in search of food etc. Please do correct me if I'm wrong though.
