    R. Acuminatus Unit

Do you feel that a 12x12x18 is big enough for him? He is itty bitty and it seems like a lot of room but I want to be sure in case they require something with more floor space.

    R. Acuminatus Unit

Thanx so much! I was torn about which way to go but I will keep him in his current house. The humidity was a concern for sure. Cameron, I have purchased an aquarium cooling fan for the top... even though the don't let off a whole lot of cool air is this ok? I like the idea of him having that...

    R. Acuminatus Unit

Hey all! I recently rescued a neglected Acuminatus and I have him in a 12x12x18 Exo Terra glass unit. It is highly planted with layers of hydroballs, moss, and plantation soil. There is a dripper going at all times and he gets misted about 6 times a day. Humidity sits around 80% most of the...

    Gorongosa pygmy chameleon

Hi all, wondering if anyone has seen the Gorongosa pygmy chameleon for sale? I came across a male at a pet store and am wondering if their pricing is on par ($260).

    Struggling with Humidity

I am in Saskatchewan and am having the same issue. it is more costly but you can have super thin sheets of clear acrylic cut at any glass shop and fit it to the sides of the screen cage. I plan to do 2 sides to see how that helps :) I have also increased the misting on my mist king unit to 5...

    very cold dry climate

I live in Saskatchewan and am also struggling with the temps. My guy is forever dark brown trying to soak the heat. I have a large mesh unit. I can get the basking area to maintain temps but the rest sits too low. I have considered adding another heat bulb to the unit? What are your thoughts on...

    How to stop cricket die-offs?!

Sounds like you are doing everything right EXCEPT for that blasted cricket quencher! Every time I have tried to use it I have huge losses. I now use cut potato as a way for them to get moisture and I now have very few losses! My cricket bin is a Tupperware container with a big section cut...

    ***The Official Enclosure Picture Thread***

I love seeing all of the creative set ups on here! This is Ozzies house all done up... I have a matching top for the unit but was playing with the lights so removed it. And, of course, I HAD to add a pic of my boy :)

Nosey Faly is almost always dark brown

Here you go :) Ozzie is a late bloomer so his colors are still developing. His browns are definitely from his temps as he is now only changing to all brown when near his basking light. He definitely needed the higher wattage. I don't have pics of him all brown and my phone is dead. I have kept...

Nosey Faly is almost always dark brown

Sorry :) The basking temp was sitting at only 85 (50 watt) so I increased the wattage (75 watt) but that bumped it up to 110!! YIKES! However, with that bulb it allowed the ambient temps to be at around 80. I am going to grab a 60 watt and hopefully that will set the temps nicely in range.

Nosey Faly is almost always dark brown

Hey all! I am wondering if someone can tell me why my Nosey Faly boy stays a dark brown color most of the time? He shows his color when he eats and sleeps otherwise he is a solid dark brown! My temps seem good... reading around 70 at the bottom of the 4 foot unit. heat and UVA/UVB bulbs aren't...

Hi all! I am back to let you all know that the mystery has been solved! IT'S A BOY! Little bugger had us all confused for so long and he suddenly dropped a bulge and blew more blue coloration! I am glad to see we weren't the only ones being fooled by the little guy hahaha :)

Is my "male" a late bloomer or have I been dooped?

Hi! may I ask, how does seeing the full chameleon help you determine gender? I am also wondering how you can tell how the colors will develop. Based on the pics where he is light but shows blue and pinks.. will the pinks stay pink or will the turn red or blue??

Is my "male" a late bloomer or have I been dooped?

Thanx so much! I am SO happy! I have bonded with the little gaffer and hated to think of giving him up for a male. You mentioned that you don't think he is a true nosey faly. May I ask why? I have noticed ALOT od pink hues under his belly and sides. Do these pink undertones generally turn...
