I would wash it to be safe! Fill a bucket with some antibacterial soap and warm water, dunk the plant in upside down shake a bit rinse off repeat about 3-4 times.
He's a young veiled not sure on age. I saved him from Petco, didn't realize that until reading these forums but I deffinetly will and maybe get an idea of age.
As for dusting your feeders repashy calcium plus, it's an all in one dust you use every time you feed! Make sure to gut load too,There are lots of amazing posts on here for that! As far as d3 twice a month is what I do.

I use an aquazamp with a rain dome, it still puts out a bit of mist. the only issue I have is drainage which I can easily fix just don't have the time. I never have a problem with water and I have an all screen cage.
