Okay, I've turned the soil a few times but it never fully drys out, I hear they don't really drink from dishes ? I must 4 times a day but his cage is just damp not soaked, should I let the soil dry ?

Its BECAUSE I want to know !! I have proper lighting for all my chams and other reptiles. I'm looking into extra lighting to have back up for upcoming winter.

No sock, you can't push it or sneak up on him .. You need to be comfortable .... Try using food as something to distract or lure him
