My male veiled is the same, would only eate 10 cri kets a week and a few supers. Finally figured out he loves house flies. I get them from spiderpharm.com and hatch them out and turn them loose in his cage. He literally snatches them out of mid air.
Yes she can climb a tree with no problems. When my veiled was younger I put him in our bay window on the plants and went to the other room for 2 minutes. Came back and he was gone. Looked for over an hour and found him down inside a plant I had looked in 4 times. They can get away quick so it is...
2 of mine do this. About 15-20 minuyes before lights off. The third one has not been here long enough and is still settling in but im sure she will end up the same way.
Mealworms are not a good choice for any cham. Their shells are too hard and can't easily be digested. Try superworms instead. Much softer exoskeleton. My baby panther eats house flies I buy from spiderpharm.com and small crickets.
You got it. I have made these before but ended up throwing it out because I like the mist better. The rain pretty much made big drops and went straiyht to the drain tray where the mist gets everything wet and the small droplets stay attatched to the leaves.
I dont use it. All 4 of my misting heads only drip 3 drops after it is off. I see no need for it espically if youhave a drainage tray or some sort of drain system. Mine could drip 30 times and still be fine since the whole bottom of my cages are part of the drain system.
I also bought some of those flies for my female I got from junglefries. I made a big container and turned all the larvae loose in it, big mistake. Inow have thousands of flies in the container and cand hardly catch 20 of them at a time with a small deli cup with lid. I cut a 4 inch hole in the...
I use old fashoned oats ground up and wheat bran ground up, I get the organic flakes from walmart. I also throw in carrots, collared greens and kale for them to eat alnd also provides hydration.
How long will you be gone? If only a couple days leave him if a week either have someone watch him or take him. I was gone for 5 days a few weeks ago on a motorcycle trip and just threw in a bunch of crickets. I have a mist king so all I worry about is keeping the bucket full of water.
set up a dripper. let it drip on leaves and trickle down to the bottom into a bowl or some sort of container. try to set it for 1 drip every couple or 3 seconds, maybe even ever 5 or 6 seconds. the ones you can buy at the pet store are ok but a good quality brass needle valve will work much...
she is great, she will be well cared for. i have her in a small reptibreeze cage now until she gets a little bigger and will transfer her to her adult cage that i custom built for her and her boyfriend. Thanks again
So I finally got my female Ambilobe blue bar to go along with my male. recieved her thursday from Junglefries and she is awesome. Fat little thing and only took her a few minutes to eat a few crickets when she got here. The other i picked up yesterday at a reptile show is a bearded dragon. My...
i have between 1000-2000 crickets at any given time. i feed mine cricket crack kale, collard greens, carrots, apples and dandelion leaves. not all at once, but i try to alternate what i feed. if there is no greens for them to eat they will destroy the dry food. I also keep a carolina cricket...
Misters usually take about 80 psi to work properly. Normal hous3s are about 40 psi, mine is about 15, I have sucky pressure due to our well and an old pump. So I have to use booster pumps on my cages.
I dont think you will get enough pressure out of just your water line. You may have to hoom up a solenoid on a timer to turn on at the desired times and a booster pump like the one that comes with the mist king kits. If you jave hard water plan on cleaning the misting heads out regularly. A...
Well I have about 100 worms about an inch long, perfect for feeding my small veiled, another 3-400 at about a 1/4". Im set for a few weeks on hornworms then it all starts again. Next time im going to let 40-50 pupate because I have several people interested in worms to feed their reptiles.
Almost looks like it was caught in a cage door or smashed and broken somehow. He may never use it as a 5th limb if this is the case. Or it could heal and be fine.
