I posted this topic a while ago, but now I have pictures. To me this looks like the bones that launch his tongue are just sitting in his throat. When he moves this bump goes away. I think it's just his neck. It has been there for a while now and hasn't changed. Any thoughts? This picture shows...

Sorry about your veiled. Everything else is awesome, though! I'm glad you have a good vet and lots of knowledge. It really is sad when people animals and buy one just because they are neat. I don't think Home Depot has one, but you could make one. I'm sure Home Depot has the supplies.

Congrats on the deposit! I recommend doing a ton of research. You have to know symptoms to look for, proper lighting, proper supplementation. If you really did fall in love with this chameleon, then you have to know how to keep him healthy. I would also recommend looking for a local reptile vet...

I get freaked out when my guy rubs his eyes on sticks when he sheds. Nothing's happened yet so I'm sure it's safe.

The half log I was talking about is actually that potted plant in the back. The live plants might not last long with that light. Do you know if those plants are chameleon safe? Is the soil in the pots chameleon safe? Your cage needs a complete overhaul.

Also, just because I recommended lots of cover that doesn't mean you should make the space so crammed that your cham cannot move. I'm am very concerned about the light. It is a safety hazard for you chameleon if it's in a cage that small. You could accidentally spray it and break it and hurt...
