oh good, i was worried he might be getting porky. I feed him twice a day and he gets 6 large brown crickets and 2 wax worms each feed, all the crickets are dusted with nutrobol. do you think this is too much?
hi all,
Ive had my veiled for 2 months now and was wondering how you thought he is looking.
Here he is when I got him:
He is 4 1/2 months old now.
And here he is today:
What do you reckon? I think he is colouring up nicely. Love him to bits :D
hehe, just a funny little thing they do then! He grabs the stalks and rest his head on the leaves too, how cute!
Maybe I will have to get another one then and keep rotating them, it is definately his favourite plant.
Its not it flower at the mo, its going out of season here but when i got it...
yeah the pics look the same as the one in the shop, he is ssoooo cute! I dont mind if he doesnt want to move much, i just fell in love with him because he is so little and very cute and i would love to have 2 different types of cham just so i can compare the 2 and its nice to find a rare type...
oh really, i thought they would be ok as i have a 10% UVB light in there and water them everyday as well as giving them a foliage plant supplement once a week.
the other 2 are fine, its just the one he sleeps in, and it all happened in 1 night!
he has a ficus, a draceana and a hibiscus in there.
hi all,
my 5 month old veiled kumar has chosen his hibiscus plant as his new sleeping spot and he quietly curls up in the leaves every night to go to sleep however he has also decided it has far to many leaves on the branches and has ripped off 70% of the plants leaves! lol
why has he done...
hi all,
ive said previouy that ive had my eye on a little cham in my local store and yesterday i decided to ask about him.
he is a tanzanian side striped chameleon, he is only little, about 3 inches head to vent and he is brown with a white stripe down his sides.
he was up for £150 but...
i dont feel experienced enough to comment really but would like to say i think the comments have been a little harsh - surely theres a better way of directing/educating people than telling them they are bad owners?
The branches I have I got from my garden. My mum used to have a tree that she chopped down and they have been drying out in the garden over the summer. I just chopped them to the right size, soaked them in boiling water for a few hours and baked them in the oven for 20 mins to dry them out...
hi, the plants i got are dracaena (well i actually already had this one), this is about 12" high, the hibiscus is about 10" and the ficus is about 12" aswell. I was going to get a taller ficus but instead i got a couple and thought i would grow them.
Where can i get the vines from, havnt seen...
I have just got some good plants from my local wyvale. im in kent in the UK. This time of year you can get boston fern, palms, croton, hibiscus (just going out of season) ficus, camellia, lavendar and dracaena.
hi all, i got my chameleon some live plants for his viv and some more fake ones. Have recently built him a bigger viv and it was looking bare so i hope he likes it now. I think it looks loads better, what do you reckon?
Here he is before i started, not looking too happy! lol
And here...
I would go back and keep showing interest in her, if she isnt for sale initially maybe if he sees you like her he might change his mind.
or you could just go in and say you dont think she is in the best sort of enclosure and see what he says?
