Kamish used to-and does occasionally-chew on the schefflera leaves and stalks in his enclosure. I think it is when he is trying to get more water, so I just make sure I spray him extra well for the next few days. I think he just likes to do it sometimges though :)
I think as long as your chameleon likes to come out and doesn't get stressed-like Farley!-then its great! As long as you don't force them out. I wish Kamish would like to come out more!
You should not feed him mealworms anymore..superworms are better for them, but I would suggest silkworms or butterworms. Also, you should be lightly dusting with the calcium w/o D3 6x per week, w/ D3 about 2x per month(unless he goes outside for real sun), and with a multivitamin 2x per month...
Thank you..I think he has a bit more blue than yellow wolf, but yes, they do look pretty similar.
Boj is just jealous that Kamish is about to take over Farley!! :)
Ha my bad...I guess I should read more carefully. Didn't see the Jackson's part in there :) But I would still suggest doing more research on the basic care of chameleons before you start doing anything else.
That's great news! Did you also rub him with antiseptic? <<Just out of curiosity. Also, has he started eating yet?
Post some pics when he's done shedding!!
I would suggest you keep the chameleons in separate cages for a little while before you start breeding. If you are new to chameleons, you should get the basics of chameleon husbandry down before you start breeding which will add a whole other set of questions and problems if you don't know what...
Sorry, I do not have any experience with anything like this, but just out of curiosity...did they eyelid not fully develop or did it roll under. I couldn't really tell from the pictures, but it would be interesting to know what exactly happened to them. Keep us updated on his progress!!
I agree you should mist for longer and also move him to a bigger cage with more live plants. Try giving him a shower too-put him on a plant or vine or your hand and put him in the shower. Have the shower on room temp or a little warmer and hitting the shower wall so that the water bounces off of...
UGH! Don't call Kamish fat!! He just has some curves :) lol I hate to admit it, but yes, he's a little fatty. I need to start cutting him back
Thank you :) I got him from Chameleon's Northwest. His sire is Zippey. He has some amazing orange, so I hope Kamish will develop some of those. I...
