    Vet Care Sheet Help

I think your best bet would be to type one up specifically for the way you want *your* guy handled. I work for a dog lodging facility and I always find it easier (and more comforting) when someone leaves us a daily log. For example: Monday- Lights on at 7am. Mist cage- aim for branches. 60...

    Worried About Commah

I'm posting this from my phone so bear with the typos and other errors. Commah is a 1 year old vield. He has a 2x2x4 reptibreeze, a automatic mister, and a really worried mom! Over the last couple days I've made some changes in his cage: he went from having a combo uva/uvb bulb to having a...

    Killer

I have a chameleon and a bearded dragon that share the bedroom with us. We also have 3 cats, 3 dogs and a long list of other pets. We made a "no bedroom" rule and no longer allow any of the larger pets into the bedroom. Really its a pet-by-pet situation, but your best bet is to eliminate...

    Lights Question

Yeah my finance threw out the light because it blew. When I got to the store I blanked on which one to get! THANKS, though. I got the 5.0, just if anyone was wondering. Haha

    Lights Question

I can't remember what I bought last time I went out to get his lights. I'm going to buy him a replacement ReptiSun UVB bulb, and can't remember if I use the 5.0 or the 10.0....? Commah is an (almost) 12 month old Vield Chameleon. Which should I get this time?

    Would this work?

    Very good point.

    Would this work?

His light is about 4 inches above the top of his enclosure. It's about 85-90 at his basking spot (dependent on how recently he was misted). In the winters I had a hard time keeping the heat up- so the large (HOT) bulb worked wonders. Now that its summer, I had to rise it alittle to lessen the...

    Would this work?

I personally use it and like it, BUT everyone is right- it gives off ALOT of heat so it typically can not be too close to the cage in fear of burns\eye problems. Otherwise, I like the simplicity and durability of it. It works for me.

    Buying from Petsmart?

Actually, Commah (my 10 month old Vield) came from Petsmart. He was a healthy young boy when I got him- was clear of parasites when I took him to all his vet apts! I work at the Petsmart he came from and we are achually one of the stores that take care of their Chameleons. Now, "adopting" or...

Redid What USED To Be MY Bedroom! + New Drainage System!

Commah (10 month old Vield) and Dilly (6 month old Beardie) have offically taken over the bedroom. Today I spent a couple hours making a drainage system, setting up his *NEW* monsoon system, and making room for his new brother (who techinally isn't even born yet xP)...which is this huge empty...

From Other Thread- Grabbing Feet/Tail a Concern?

Thanks for your reply. We only use a tablespoon or two of cat food- and that's my fiance's decision because her Dubias love it. haha. I'll try to get her to eliminate it We never use kale unless her BD refuses to eat it, either. Thanks for all the links about gutloading. We've bought a couple...

    Grabbing his own feet, dangerous.

Commah does the same thing sometimes. He is 10 months old, a vield just like your little guy. He more frequently does it when he is scared or moving quickly- sometimes he even gets startled and wraps his own tail around one of his back legs... THEN he *really* panicks! Haha. As to if they...
