    Mold growing on soil?

    I have a schefflera in some organic potting soil, and i noticed that there is mold groing on the soil. I have a mist king going off about 5 times a day for about 3 minutes each time. What should i do? is this too much misting? I am going to change the soil, but i dont what this to happen again...
