Would like some opinions on how my girl looks and her home. She's a lot more green now then what she use to be, but still gets all brown when I get close to take pics. Now before you all tear me apart for no real plants remember I suck at keeping them alive and fungus free. Also the substrate helps me with humidity and is packed fairly hard, Cory never spends time on the ground. Okay lets have it.....

really nice, is that a live orchid i see?

She/He says they dont have any live plants. looks good id say. pritty female. everyone will tell you remove the substrate. if you really want something down there put some large river rocks over your dirt stuff now. you still get the moistness and dont have to worry about her eating it--downside?--bugs might hide in the rocks. cup feeding/handing feeding solves this.

Thanks for opinions and suggestions. All the plants and vines I'm using are exo terra. Substrate is coconut fiber stuff and and I do have an exo terra mister working. Two nozzles on both sides poiting down to cover most of the cage and everything is on a timer. Still working on perfecting my cham care. They're much harder then my iguana or snake. Anyway thanks all

all i can say is take out the substrate next time you do a cleaning, other than that all looks good. it really has a nice foresty look to it, which unfortunately many chameleon enclosures are looking. she's a pretty one too!

In addition to my previous post, I'd suggest you get a schefflera. Although you say you cant keep it alive, I'm pretty sure they are dumb-proof. As long as you have the proper lighting for the cham, the plant will have the necessary things. You can have 2, one in the cage and one outside. Switch them every 2 weeks or so that way they get natural sunlight and last longer. that is what I do with mine. Still have the same ones that I bought almost 2 years ago.

if you don't want to have to take the mesh out all the time to clean you can use the reptile carpeting, just get 2 pieces so when one comes out to get cleaned you can put in the other
