    Eye worry

Not sure I am officially asking for help yet as much as just thoughts and I know a vet visit is in order if this turns into a problem. So I adopted a new panther today and he is about 20 months old. When I picked him up everything was great and I spent about an hour at the persons home before...

    Ambilobe chameleon help

If you look at some of the sponsor sites it does seen that males are priced higher then females. I would ask the pet owner you got her from how much a female is before you inquire about anything else and then bring up the fact he sold you a female. She may not have the color you were expecting...

My new pygmy cham keeps turning white.

I have seen where people say uvb is not needed and some say it is. I do not use uvb on my pygmies.

My new pygmy cham keeps turning white.

They also play dead when highly stressed and will appear white I color. Your little guy may be overheating like everyone is stating. Google pygmies playing dead and you will find threads about it.

    Starting over

I have not gotten my chameleons local I always went with breeders and had them shipped. My most recent chameleons came from the panther baron as well as canvas chameleons.

    Starting over

The care sheets are at the top if this site so that should answer all of your questions. I am no expert but I don't think you need two uvb lights. I am from the NJ/NYC area and I can tell you that I would never buy a chameleon at the White Plains reptile expo " from what I have seen". I have...

    Silkworms

Try the silkworm shop....also get some eggs they are so easy to hatch and you can regulate their growth by how much you feed them so you can keep them around a bit.

    silkworms from the east coast

The silkworm shop always seem to have stock. They are a little bit more money but I get great hatch results from the eggs.

    Reptibreeze Enclosure

If you want the best for him then read the care sheets that the site provides. If the price of things are going to bother you then this is not the hobby for you because this is just the beginning. I am not trying to be rude in anyway it just seems you want someone here to tell you that the cages...

    Reptibreeze Enclosure

You will need to go to a large enclosure when your panther is an adult so I would think a small is out of the question...The price I am sure seems right but remember you get what you pay for. Dragon strand cages maybe more expensive but the quality is much higher IMO. That all said many people...

    Baby cham lifeless

In your orig post you said you separated them as of today and your last post you said it has been a week they are not together. Not that it matters at this point because they should never be together. I don't think they have built the relationship you think they did I don't think chameleons have...

So that is how they fit in those small eggs!

    Eating habits?

Mealworms are like a cheeseburger (high in fat) so it's not good to be used as a staple feeder but more of a treat. Maybe try roaches or silkworms as they are much better for your chams diet. I also use super worms just to mix it up a little from time to time.

    Starter kits

IMO buy everything seperate after doing your research here so that you can make sure your not wasting your money on things you may not need. I have seen those kits come with dome lights when I perfer long fixtures as an example.
