I was very pleased with all the chameleons i saw at the pamona show. Every table there was amazing. I finally got what i was looking for though at no other then the FL chams both. 2 pygmy chameleons sub adults :) i will post pictures in this thread. If you were at the show please comment and...
how sudden was the change in the eggs? overnight? Its pretty rare in all reptiles that there will always be perfect batches with all eggs fertile. Maybe nature is just taking is course, but if this was over a short period of time i would have a concern.
This will happen a lot, but mainly when you first get your cham (from my experience at least). This means they are stressed, or sometimes when the are trying to absorb heat. They aren't going to turn brown usually, but its just a warning sign that they want to be left alone. Never stop misting...
i hate the flukers!! I had it; I don't know if it was because it got heavily misted on and something happened to it (probably not because humidity gages should be water proof), but anyways it never reads the same as my other gages. Do not trust it just because it looks nice and its digital...
I recently take care of a veiled chameleon, but at the pamona reptile expo this weekend I plan on getting a few pygmys, and possibly breed them (not for sales of course). I was just wondering if you guys had any care tips at all since i have trouble finding decent care sheets on the internet...
Hey guys since my chameleon is going to be able to lay her eggs in a month or two+ i was wondering what you guys use as the substrate in the tubs. Is organic soil ok?
exactly what svinyard said. If he is not adult yet you should get a 18x18x36 even if he/she is new born cause they grow fast. Younger chams need basking from 80-83 if they are veiled. I would get a 40-75 watt depending on where you live. A 100 watt would be way to much overkill, and would dry up...
maybe try some different plants. It looks like he doesn't have much of a place to hide in. When my guy gets dehydrated or feels like she needs more moisture i have a part under her basking spot where it is almost like a jungle and gives her a big spot to hide in when she is being shy or she goes...
another thing is that it could be a good thing, because plenty of times iv had the greatest impressions on people, but then when we started dating it was totally different. Im not saying that girl is like that but it sure happens a lot. One time i knew a girl for 3 years then dated her. End of...
Dude don't worry about this. trust me there will be other people. I have had this situation also where they have a hard time thinking about it and end up saying no. Give it time and she might change her mind, and never give up hope. The pillow is not such a good idea cause it will put her on the...
Sorry to hear about your veiled passing. If you want to get a cham with color i would say panther for sure. I bet you could take perfect care of both of them sense you know what its like to have a chameleon already. The truth is though they are both perfect animals. :)
i think i'm going now.....i was gonna then my plans changed so i couldn't go, but now i'm free again! Knowing me i'm gonna impulse buy something i don't need. I am so exited this will be my first reptile expo :)
hey syn do aqualamp misters have a product with a built in heater? cause when i looked at there site or something like that i saw a picture of a water purify they built for somone. Do they make misters with heaters? I figured out its that my cham gets cold when i mist her.
i have a simple answer to this whole thread (hopefully). like someone said just looking at pictures is just as much fun for an hour a day.....and instead of going bankrupt and ruining your daily schedule just get more chameleons and don't breed them. I guarantee this will give u more experience...
