Can I feed the locusts dandelion leaves?

What else would be good to feed then for balance? Do I alternate between different foods or give a little of different things each day? I know kale & Spring greens are also good.

Thanks I will try to get a pic next time I see them. I thinki have seen something crawling in the miss before so hopefully they are just part of the Eco system. Just so paranoid now!

    Gut loading locusts

Thanks Andee, I do dust the insects of course, it was just the vet told me to dust the food as well but I think if I go with kale & Spring greens I shouldn't need to do that!

    Gut loading locusts

Thank you that's really helpful! We used to feed them Spring greens but got difficult to find. I don't know if that is high in calcium also? I imagine so-dark leafy greens-can't believe I didn't think about it before! I might stop the mealworms then-there are so many in a tub & I wouldn't want...

    Gut loading locusts

Hi, what's the best way to gutload locusts so that they also absorb calcium? I have tried dusting carrots with calcium but they tend to go black & mouldy very fast. Im not sure if this is because I'm now washing them first (though also drying) after advice from the vet. My male Cham died after...

    Bugs on Poop

Hi I have a new female Panther chameleon am told she is 6months by petshop. I have noticed tiny little bugs on her poo when I remove it. I am unsure if this has come from inside her or from her enclosure which we bought pre-planted with moss & plants. It could be part of nature's clean-up as the...

    Change in personality

    Shedding problem-thorns

Usually wait weeks, even couple months sometimes. Don't wanna leave it on there as that's what happened with the tail cutting off circulation & turning it black which then spread up the tail & could've killed him. Thorns are black underneath which suggests 2 me that shed on too long but I don't...
