run a dual bulb linear fixture with your UVB light and a 4300K/Grow light for bulbs and it brings out better colors than my panther throws in real sunlight
haha believe me i am the same way with my pictures. Its like THATS MY BABY AND YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY I HOPE YOU DIE!
but ive learned, give it a day or two and thats when the comments will roll in. Infact, if its non a super rare species, or a sickly cham, you dont get comments right away
Maybe try and find someone here in the states the will ship you the DIY cages? I can ship them to you through my work if youd like to have DIY ship them to my work/me and paypal me money to UPS them to you?
Im picking up two baby baby veileds tomorrow from my bosses friend. He knows im into reptiles (didnt know about the chams) and asked if i wanted to two of them. I asked for pictures and what they were (totally forgetting that not everyone gets excited about chameleons like i do) and he said idk...
wherever you get your live plant from (im going to assume like home depot, lowes, nursery, etc) a bag of just soil no fertalizer or anything is like $1.50 usually.
Im starting to buy crickets in large quantities (im sure not as big as some people on here) but i need a way to keep them in my room and not have them alll get out and preferably keep my mortality rate down.
Post pics/ideas of whats worked for you. Ive got worms down, but they are easy and...
I know there were different camera angles but i know that was more than one jump at different angles. At what point do you worry about the animal hurting itself and quite putting it back up on a tree?!?!
Keep with the shower regiment and get a real plant or two in there for her. I had the same problem with eyes with my baby panther and one was just a littler irritated from some shed. A few showers a week for a week or three and he was just fine!
With two chameleons an auto mister becomes a GODSEND! Other than that its just a extra minute or two feeding the second one. I saw you do it if you feel like you can handle it. You can put the cages next to eachother just make sure there is a solid divider inbetween them so they cant see anything :)
I refill my bucket every morning with as hot of water that my bath tap puts out. When i get home from work at night the bucket is still warm to the touch. With the warm water both chams run under a nozzle every morning and get all warmed up (my first mistking is 10 minutes long 15-20 minutes...
Yup. They do that for a few days before they calm back down. I imagine that if i got rid of all my tight skin all of a sudden Id go run around and party too
Just throwing this out there.... why not paint it? Or make your own version? I know my crested gecko LOVES the raindome over his cage. It freaked my little male out and my female literally runs under it to "shower" but not drink lol
Ive ALWAYS wanted a Mellers and have decided its time to actually persue getting one. If you have or knwo someone who has a juvi sized or smaller please let me know and we can work something out!
Thanks guys! This is the first time in the like 2 1/2 years since I got my first cham that I feel 100% about all my setups!
When i said it was low i ment physical placement, Id like it if it was a little thicker in the top 1/3rd of the cage rather than 1/2 way up so he can "hide" and still be...
