i seen an issue a few months ago where another member had the same issue with butter worms.
I wonder if there is something going on with those particular worms, or if its an allergic reaction...

Vinegar is a naturally occurring conversion of fermentation. it happens when yeast are provided with oxygen, and create vinegar instead of alcohol. if memory serves correct. it should not harm plants.

Just looks de-laminated, not sure you can fix it completely, you could steam it, re-glue, and place it under a very heavy very flat object. sand down the ugly stuff, and re-waterproof it. or replace it.
you can steam it with a hot clothes iron and a moist towel...
