Hey guys,
So I'm still trying to figure out a way to hydrate my male panther cham and get him to stop drinking water from the floor of his cage, and I was wondering if a rodent bottle would work. He used to follow the orange spray bottle around and lick the tip where the water sprayed out. I...
as for the shower temp, all reptiles should bath in barely lukewarm water. They are cold blooded, so what seems barely warm to us is hot to them. It should feel absolutely average.
sorry for not answering the urates. His urates have been pretty consistently orangish, but he only eats superworms :/. I've tried him on every food, and thats all he will eat. But they are usually a pretty light orange until more recently
I'll try the shower idea. There is a dripper nozel in the cage, but what would i hook it up to? is there a simple device or something i may have to buy?
I wouldn't worry too much about it. Looks like a bit of fecal matter that was left over. If you shower him or if its present after a week or so, then I'd look into why its still there.
So my male panther chameleon Costello hasn't been drinking very well for a while, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to hydrate him. A humidifier runs for 30 minutes every four hours, and I mist his cage twice a day with an exo-terra pump mister. I used to use a spray bottle with an...
Sorry, was just waiting for a responder before adding a ton of extra info. The regular humidity between mistings or the humidifier running is 40%. The humidifier and mister both raise the humidity to about 88% for the next half hour and then it starts to drop. I wanted to do an automated mister...
Hey guys, haven't checked in for a while.
Got another question for you all. I started to lower the humidity my humidifier puts out since my rooms been holding a lot of it and I mist both my male and female panthers down two or three times too. I just got one of those exo-terra heavy duty...
I just sucks to move from superworms cause they are soooo easy to keep compared to other feeders, and they are also the cheapest for me. Do you think that the superworms would explain the stool? Someone else thought so, but I'm not sure...
So my male panther Costello still isn't eating or drinking really, and I just tried roaches today. My girl Abby who just laid eggs is eating a couple more superworms (horray!) so shes back towards a regular diet. But I still can't seem to get Costello to eat or drink much. Hes tried superworms...
Also if hes that young and you have only gotten him recently, I wouldn't hold him at all. It could stress him out a lot and not want to be anywhere near things in his new home.
So, I'm reposting again cause I keep getting pushed back and forth of where to post lol, so here it goes again. My cham has been great for almost 2 months now, but last week he drooled while drinking. Hes only done it once, but it was new. His stools are also becoming liquidy. He has eaten about...
I know this is supposed to be in the health section, but I got far more views and replies in the general discussion :). The original was in the health section and I didn't get much. Thx for the help, I'll keep watchin.
I posted this earlier today, and its just worrying me. So Costello has been a great chameleon and has been colorful and healthy since I got him, but just recently I started seeing him do some weird stuff. He hasn't been drinking as much as he usually does recently, and last week he had a big...
It could take her a little longer to lay eggs. Mine did after 4 1/2 weeks, but some lay 6 weeks after mating. Mine just started digging lots of tunnels and ended up laying at the bottom of her 8 inch tub. Just gotta wait.

I dunno about digging just to dig, but I bred my female panther a month ago and she just laid eggs on thursday. When she was gravid, she didnt seem so, and i could barely feel the eggs when i palpated her. When she laid them, she wasnt much skinnier. I'm saying this only in response to your cham...
Thanks for the replies. I did use potting soil just cause I have tons of it and hadn't heard anything bad from it, but next time I will use sand. The room they're in is about 81 degrees including the soil i dug them from so I didn't want to drop the temp down by almost 10 :/ Ill see if I can get...
