I've been using a Zoomed for a while now with no problems.
I bought one from Harbor Freight and was never able to get it work. I don't trust anything from HF that isn't a simple handtool. Theres a reason their stuff is so cheap.
I don't think he was doing it to get sun. When he absorbs heat he usually gets flat and lays on his side.
He did get a little nervous when he saw the cat. But he was doing it before the cat came around.
When a cham makes their body real thin and long. I just took my veiled out to get some real sun as I was just hanging out having a beer. And I put him on the handrail to the deck. He then like I said made his body real long and thin. It was almost like his skin was wrinkly.
Cold, hot...
There is a Sheffelera down behind the pothos on the bottom. I'm working on building a better base for it to sit on. Right now its kind of a temporary thing. So I want to make sure it can support the weight of more plants. Hopefully ill have that done by the weekend, once I get a new chop saw...
That's what I was thinking. I kind of like the idea of not knowing what ill be getting. He looks cool already. No real colors. Hes kind of still that grey color. But once I saw him eat I wanted to get him.
My bday is this week. I think he might be a present to myself. But thanks for...
So since I built my new cage, I'm toying with the idea of splitting it down the middle and having two.
I was thinking either a panther or jacksons. I've had a jackson and thought he was cool. I am now however leaning toward a panther. Havent had one yet.
A local place has a...
Hi. This is the new cage I built to get my guy out of tiny reptibreeze. I'm not completely done with it. Few little things I want to change. And I know I still have to add some more stuff. But anything else you guys would change or add. I appreciate some feedback.
Hopefully the pic is...
I don't mean to question you Bubby, but what makes you say that? I was under the impression that something might be wrong seeing as darker colors usually are a sign of stress or something.
Hi, lately I have been noticing at night my 1 year old veiled has a bright colorful body like normal, but around his eyes and "eyebrow" and half way up his casque its just a little darker than normal.
Any suggestions as to why?
So I am going to be building a new cage for my male veiled tomorrow. I've been going over different design options and had the idea to make a notch in the middle so I can slide a divider in and have two chams in essentially the same cage.
So I was thinking making the total cage 4.5ft...
Got it. I honestly thought he was doing great until I saw this falling thing. I really wish I could post pics. I haven't posted pics since I got him trying to find out how old you all thought he was. I don't know why the attachment button won't open anything.
Kate. Thanks for the advice. But how do you know crickets don't come gutloaded. I live up the block from a reptile store so I just buy crickets every few days. But they say they load their crickets. Yeah they could be lying or they could be a reputable shop that knows what they're doing...
Male veiled, a little over a year old. How long has it been in your care? Since about 3 months old.
Handling*- How often do you handle your chameleon? Very rarely. Take him out when I do a thorough cleaning.
Feeding*- What are you feeding your cham? Mostly crickets and silkworms. What...
No multivitamin. I do rep-cal 0% d3 calcium every time I get crickets. And zoo-med repti calcium once a month. I also mix in silk worms.
He's a little over one year.
Are you able to post pics by phone. It doeant seem to be letting me.
I actually just started his new one today. He won't be in it for at least a week though.
Building a custom cage. Dimensions are going to be 4.5ft highx2ftx16 inches. Just stained the wood today. Hoping to frame it saturday. Then screen it.
But that doesn't really explain his falling...
