You are welcome :) We all like to help the little chammies around the world to get the very best of care and quality of life!
Yes it is a good answer from Raphael about letting things dry between each misting and also important to let it dry before lights out. My last mist is about an hour...
Also check out this great blog https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/jannb/325-info-new-keepers-young-veiled-panther-chameleons.html and of course our forums care resources https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/caresheets/panther/
I don't see what your talking about in the first pic but in the second one he looks dehydrated. Please can you fill out the https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/ form so we can see if there's anything we can help with :) he is a pretty boy!
Teal'c sure does love the sun. Just a shame I make her live on this island with me in the middle of the North Sea :)
Thanks again Jann! We really struck it lucky this week, hopefully more to come. She is a quite contented girl even though we don't get out much!
I love her little golden eyes...
:D hahaha!
Rebecca I've been keeping tabs on your stinky little pal on Facebook :) he's super cute, I had no idea skunks were so sweet. Been loving the vids of them playing about. Sure you will keep us updated when he goes home with you. I want to hear if he sprays at you though! Haha!
Thanks so much for your kind words :)
Not freak out as such but she is funny when I put her home! She always wanders about loads like she thinks she's still outside? Then she goes somewhere random to get ready for bed (she usually sleeps in the same spot every night) and always curls up...
Thank you Jann! So lucky we did go out yesterday as its grey and rainy today! You do have very lucky chameleons :)
This is the look I get when I'm eating and not sharing :) I had ice cream and Teal'c wanted some!
Outside time is the best! Thank you for your kind comments!
It was an awesome sunny day here today so we decided to take off work to get Teal'c some outside time. Not often a good hot day in Shetland so you've gotta take every chance you get! She's still not fond of the camera :)
Thanks for looking :)
I feel your pain! I hatched my first batch of eggs a few weeks ago. It was all going so well and then they just started to die off for no apparent reason! I had raised them to a good gecko feeding size before this happened so was really disappointed too :(
Ah Baytril is a common antibiotic and it is known to put off their food so that's not too much of a worry. Sleeping through the day isn't good though (although I'm not 100% if its okish after surgery like that) I would advise another vet visit or at least a phone consultation to see if this is...
My girl tries to eat my and my bf's finger squite regularly. Usually if we're offering her greens and she thinks the fingers are a nice juicy worm or something :)
What is the oral medication? I know some meds can put them off their food. Drinking is a really good sign though. When you say slee[ping more do you mean she's sleeping through the day when the lights are on or just that she stays in her bed place for longer?
I do not keep any montane species but from what I have read about their temp requirements I would say that that isn't enough of nigh time drop (they like it cooler as you know)
What other chameleons live on her row? Are thay montane also? My suggestion would be to move her to a cooler room...
