I'm building a habitat for Pygmy's also and was wondering if a waterfall is ok in it. I know you shouldn't have use them with other cham species but what about these little ones.
They are awesome I have 2 boys from them. I got a Nosy Be and a Ambilobe. They arrived healthy and have been great eaters right form the start, they even had great color for their age. I live in the mid west so we had to monitor the weather so shipping was safe and Liddy was wonderful about...
I have a bin of sand in the bottom of the cage to monitor for digging and then a bigger one for her to actually to lay eggs in, does the bin of sand in the bottom of the cage need to be moistened like the bigger one is?
crossing locales
I asked this question also and basically most don't really care for the idea because eventually it will be harder to get true pure chams of a locale. ultimately its up to you if you want to cross breed or not.
What temps do you start taking your chams outside? I'm in the midwest also but I was thinking it would need to be quite a bit warmer than it was before that ice/snow storm to take them out. I am excited to get them outside but I don't want to do it too soon either.
While I'm new to the cham world I have both Reptibreeze cages and cages from LLL and haven't had issues with either so far but the ones from LLL are easier to clean.
I got a Nosy Be male and a Ambilobe male from Kammerflage the week of Christmas and they are both wonderful and well worth the wait. I had to wait for them to be big enough and then it was to cold here so we had to wait for a warm up to ship them. Have fun with your guy!
