my veiled only drinks by shooting too and its very frustrating. I've heard people can train their chams to drink from syringes or droppers but i haven't had any luck for months mostly because i just dont have the patience. I have seen her drink a few times by licking the sprayed water as it...
My female veiled has increasingly gotten more aggressive and now she hisses and tries to bite my hands when I try to transport her. Usually I trick her out of the cage with a juicy worm which works nicely but whenever she realizes shes not in her cage anymore she flips out and makes it difficult...
thats fortunate! once i thought i killed a full container of waxworms that i forgot were in the fridge, but they all started wiggling within the hour. big price difference but still good to have alive worms :)
thanks, i hope they'll pull through. its my first time keeping babies so i dont know what to expect. and the temp has gone down in my chams cage since then. :)
Most of my silk moths have died after mating and as I went to check if any new ones have died I noticed two batches of eggs have already hatched! Im quite surprised since these eggs are no more than a week old and haven't been through a hibernation stage at all. It has been really hot in my room...
oh no poor little guy! that bump on his mouth looks like mouth rot. make sure the vet looks inside his mouth for any abscesses. one of my chameleons died from an abscess which derived from mouth rot. i hope he has a full recovery :)
ughhh i felt her and she did not like it at all! maybe i didnt palpate hard enough but i didnt find anything other than a very small lump that could possibly be a developing egg or a poop. shes due for a fecal so i might just end up taking her to the vet just incase. my girl just discovered the...
i do have a laying bin in her cage. but i havent seen her wandering around her cage at all in a while. ive never seen any blue on her other than a stripe on her casque but she rarely fires her colors up. she does show orange spots though.
do you think my cham looks pregnant? she hasnt been mated and i wouldnt know how big she would get if this was an infertile clutch. the rolls in her belly look similar to some of the pics i see here but she isnt bumpy at all, just...rolly :P (shes 10-11 mos old)
please help me out, this is my...
if the suns coming in through the window he isnt really benefiting from it uvb-wise. there shouldnt be any glass or plastic between the cham and the uvb light source, so hopefully you have a uvb light over his tank. if so then disregard this :)
yeah, as long as hes dark only when under his...
