To answer your question it is the skin from the front part around her eye. It is off because the puffiness comes and goes, sometimes it looks like normal and other times it is very puffed up and she can't look forward:(
So we got to the vet and he seems to think that it might be that her sinus cavity (the canal between the eyes and sinus) may be blocked. He told me to give her isopto drops (tears) in her eyes a few times a day which I am currently doing. I am also giving her nice long warm showers to hopefully...
Both her eyes are affected like this, the sac seems like it is filled with air as it isn't at all dense. No sign of puss or cloudiness near her actual eye ball
I noticed a couple weeks ago this sac in front of my four year old veileds eyes, it doesn't seem to be painful for her as she lets me touch it but it seems to be interfering with her vision when she is trying to look forward. Around the same time that I noticed this I observed that she is...
I just noticed some fresh and concerning wounds on the upper part of my 4 year old veileds tail. Does anybody know what may have caused these wounds? My first thought is crickets chewing at her, I try not to let too many extra crickets roam around but there is sometimes a straggler or two that...
I have a well established dubia colony for sale in the Stratford Ontario area for sale that includes hundreds of dubia's of all sizes, lots of breeding adults. I would sell the whole colony for $40 and that includes their bin. Pick up only please , inbox me if interested.
Chamster i thought you should know that comercial pesticides are still in use. My buddy travels from one end of Canada spraying nasty stuff along the sides of hiways, electrical lines and train tracks so just be aware of where you are getting wild caught insects. My cham loves wild caught...
when my f veiled was a juvi she would go everyday or two but since she turned adult (she is approx 18 months now) she only goes once every 7 to 10 days. I was pretty concerned at first but everything is good, its just her schedule lol.
I'm not sure if this link will work as I'm doing this from my cell phone but if not look up the thread Gutloading worms that was started by javsto. Sandra chameleon explains what to gutload different worms with, I learned alot about gutloading worms from her replies on this thread.
I use a digital/programmable cool mist humidifier in my chams room, I set it for 50% humidity so it shuts off when it gets there, it runs alot in our dry winter.
theres gotta be some way to semi (il) legally get them across the border, I mean look at all Canada's ganja going south and American guns coming north, thats not exactly legal but it happens, time to get creative Drew haha just kidding, maybe.
heat = eating and breeding = hundreds of roaches. make sure there is no mold as mold can wipe out a colony and try feeding more veggies/etc they will eat almost anything that can be put in a composter. (my dubia colony is my winter time composter lol)
I don't have a UV meter but have read that the zoo med (repti sun) 5.0 is good for approz 9 months and that the exo terra (repti glo) is good for approx 6 months.
my approx. 16 month old female veiled typically weighs around 165 grams, give or take a few points. If you want lots of results try doing a search of veiled weights or panther weights and you should be able to find lots of previous threads.
I wouldnt worry too much, when my f veiled was young she pooped every day or two and then it seemed that over night she started only going every 7 to 10 days. I was quite concerned, and even made a similar thread about it, but everything is all good and that is just her schedule now.
