So here's another thread for bizzare or strange rescues and finds when it comes to lizards. We all know how slippery they can be if they want to be. So please share some hilarious escape/near eascape/recovery stories:D Like in EWW Factor, I'll start with my most recent one.
Okay, so I'm...
If you do decide to get one, please get a rescue if you can. 90% of iguanas are put down because their owner didn't know how big they'd get, and didn't know how aggressive they can be. My girl is a rescue.
I don't think they bite. But boy are they loud. I had about half a dozen loose in my room at one point. Not only did it drive my cats up the walls (literally) it drove me dizzy. Man thost things can move if they want to.
I've used them as well:) I highly reccomend them especially if you have an underweight cham that needs to grow some more:D They are indeed excellent. Oh, those flies annoy me. Lol. I made the mistake of leaving them out. Lol. WOOPS! Now I've got a spider infestation *SHUDDER* And none of my...
I have an iguana myself. She is 4' 5", and very aggressive. Most iguanas are. I do not reccomend them as pets unless you have a ROOM set aside for them, and a fearless attitude. If you do really want one please get a rescue if you can. Why I say this is because 90% of iguanas that are purchased...
I hope so. I have a bad feeling that the person who sold the cham is my new supervisor. And after working with him for one day I can safely say I'm worried. :S I'm working today so hopefully i'll be able to talk to him.
Well, the title says it all. I've been enjoying my work, and everyone in there seems to be knowledgable on the care of chameleons and all of the other critters we have. Recently we got a bunch of new guys from another store, I've only worked with them the one day so even though I'm not getting...
Yay, I'd post pictures if i could, but aside from not having a camera, you try to get one of these fish to sit still for more then a second! Its harder then a chameleon. Lol.
I had to downgrade my protien skimmer, the girl who sold it to me obviously wasn't paying attention. I have a 33gal tank. She gave me a skimmer that'd fit a 165 gallon tank:O Oops. So I got a smaller skimmer. Its still noisy but it's not half as bad. lol.
The guys at Big Al's did something...
True, but I find that panthers are a little prettier:P And they tend to be a little more easy going in terms of personality. Now I'm generalizing this but I've got two panthers and they are both easy going (one a little more so then the other). lol. But every veiled I've come accross has been...
I dunno, I've had rabbits before, to much work. And people say that chams are high maintenance!!! Nope. Keep an eye on the rabbit, it'll chew through everything!
But the duckling!!! AWWWWW! I've always wanted one! How did you get it?
Really? Well, i guess they'll do that. Shuo is like a puppy but nicer. He lets me pet him and stuff. (Not that I do it everyday). Oh man, it turns out that the protien skimmer sold to me was so big it doesn't fit the tank. My tank is a 33gal. The skimmer is for a 165gal. :O The girl who sold it...
Mhm:( I ended up buyinbg a protien skimmer. it may be useful but it is the most annoying contraption ever. I dunno what I'll do if it doesn't quiet down. Poor Shuo, he's all on his lonesom now. In two weeks I'll get him new tankmates. When everything is stable once again.
Wow, i never expected such a response from everyone. But I have some horrible news:( Overnight I ended up with a Nitrite explosion, all of my fish except for Shuo, my green spotted puffer, died:( *BAWL*
I am glad at least that Shuo is still alive, I've had him the longest, he's...
YAY! I finally got my dream fish! A Porcupine Puffer!!! He's adorable, and cute, and spikey, and pretty. He is a little stressed right now, but he should be fine in a bit:) Anyone else got marine fish, or puffer fish?
