    10.0 uvb

Thanks for the heads up guys! Unfortunately I don't know anywhere in Glasgow that sells zoo med bulbs and I wouldn't trust buying off amazon lol. I'm going to pets at home tonight so I'll pick up a repti glo for the time being. Are reflectors/hoods a necessity?

It doesn't seem to be the frame but a slight bend on the actual door frame. Also on the bottom frame are a couple studs which are holding it out :(

    Ultrasonic Pond Foggers?

They are good for what you pay. I had mine running a couple times a day and my cham was never dehydrated. If you sit it on top of the cage at a slight angle you can even have it as a drip system. I used it to water my plants and cham lol :D just make sure you clean the circle plate on top as...

    Exoterra compact light Q?!?

Halogen spots are good for producing high basking spots with lower ambient temps. With my female in her exo terra I used a single gu10 50w on a dimmer switch, they're similar to halogen spots. They are rather small bulbs so halogen or gu10 could be an option depending on the size of the cham...

    10.0 uvb

I've always used reptiglo 5.0 linears for my panther but since moving her to her 4ft cage she has spent less time directly under the uvb and more time exploring. I've noticed more people saying 10.0 linears are more than safe enough to use. Any thoughts? Thanks

This is a picture from underneath. I did follow the instructions lol but maybe I went wrong somewhere. I have loosened the side panel screws and tightened them again to try make it fit, it's as if the bottom of the door is slightly too big

    reptiles breeze xl

Tonight I built my first reptiles breeze cage, it all looks good besides the bottom of the bottom door sticks out a good 4mm or so from the base. This would be more than enough for any roaches, crickets or worms to escape from if they got loose! Have any of you had this problem before? I was...

    Foliage plant safe to use?

Thanks for your reply. I searched alot on the plant and majority say it's toxic. I put the plant in her new reptiles breeze cage and one of the branches snapped, bleeding out alot of milky sap which immediately turned sticky so I will only use this as a free range. Wouldn't want any getting into...

    Gravid!

Ok so she has been digging since lights on at 6 this morning and it's now 4pm. She has a bucket filled with damp sand which she has dug multiple holes in about 3 inches down. Should I be worried or could this last alot longer? If someone could reply quick please it'd be much appreciated! Thanks...

    Gravid!

My female panther is a little over a year old now. The past week she has been a very dark black/purple with orange bars, went off her food and water to an extent and always at the bottom of her cage. I can also feel what feels like a couple jelly beans in her tummy At her abdomen like infront of...

    Foliage plant safe to use?

I picked up a plant from b&q today for my chams new enclosure. The only name on it is foliage plant but I can't find its scientific name so I don't know if it is safe to use. Here is a picture of it if that helps if anyone can tell me?:p Ps it's the taller one lol

    Feeding Pachnoda Grubs?

No need to crush their heads. My cham won't eat them but my monitor swallow them whole without so much as a bite.

my veiled cham wont eat roaches

Try placing them in a while bowl that's how I got mine interested. They tend to settle in corners so the bowl keeps them trying to get out which could draw interest

House light bulb Vs. Basking bulb

I got the halogen idea from my monitor also :D They can create a basking spot without over heating the enclosure and because they are of lower wattage do not suck all the humidity out :D I've also never had one blow out on me for my chams lol. By far the best option imo

I have an idea for a drip bottle replacement

I'm currently using a small 230w 5amp mini line pump that I took from an a/c unit in work which is constantly recirculating the water for my dripper. I change out the water once a week though :D

    Water water water

Could use whatever drip system you have and under it place a bowl or something to catch it but have some sort of mesh or even tights covering the top with an elastic band to hold it on. Simple yet effective haha!
