The petlands i have been to, I have only seen a chameleon carried by them ONCE. She was in such a small cage it looked ridiculous, it was definitely smaller than a 10 gallon tank... My cham who is like a 1/3 of that size is in a 18x18x36 enclosure. Also the petco i get my superworms from, all of...
I found out some more info a little after i asked lol. I WAS gonna go next week but i forgot i was gonna be in atlantic city with my family that weekend... I'm gonna try n get to the one in white plains next month tho
Hmm i wonder if hes that big already because he's a male... He's almost as long as my adult female who is close to 4 yrs old by now. What's he been eating!
Bump, does anyone know? I dont want this thing to die i wanted to save it for a few days but if it doesnt eat anything i have to feed it to my beardie..
How many inches is he total? I believe my dragon is around that age if not a bit older and only 11 inches in total length. I cam across another beardie in a petstore that was double her body size and was only 7 months old supposedly..
I'm wondering if hornmoths are like silkmoths n dont eat at all or i can feed this thing something. This is by far the ugliest animal i've ever seen! N i still have another coccoon too... Also i have a bunch of silkworm coccoons left over, does anyone know if they dont hatch after a certain time...
Did he eat those mealworms? Mealworms generally aren't the best thing to feed because they cause impaction, perhaps he is impacted. I know that you aren't supposed to feed baby bearded dragons mealworms because it can lead to complications, maybe it is the same with baby chams?
Julirs said it perfectly so i had to edit my post. another reason you shouldnt keep them together is one usually displays dominance over the other, gets all the food, the basking spot etc, while the other gets little to nothing.. This usually happens to the female but for some reason it's...
Ok so the first one was a male, i know that after seeing the next two having 2x larger abdomen than the first guy. 2 of them have been mating most of the day, how long does it take for them to mate normally? i'd like to feed them off to my lizards before they die.
I think it was the waste product like movie said in the post above you though. I was under the impression that they just mate, lay eggs, and then die so i didnt realize they would be doing that lmao. I threw it back in the tank right after it did that on my hand =(
I suppose i'll have to wait till another hatches because i dont have a reference yet. Idk body looks i guess big for the size of the moth. I coulda swore i saw pictures of really big silkmoths, the biggest silkworm i had was about 2.5x the size of this moth =(
Where'd you get them from? I got mine from Mulberry Farms and i believe save for 2-3 casualties between both boxes, mine came very healthy. One of them was already a cocoon too, couldnt tell if it was misplaced Styrofoam or what lol
I believe this was my 3rd or 4th attempt at starting a silkworm colony, and i purchased large silkies where about 1/3 of them coccooned. The first moth hatched i guessed this morning or last night but it seems kinda small, its slightly bigger than a waxmoth and no larger than a medium sized...
I dont believe so, but they will last far longer in the fridge. I dont keep mine in the fridge and they usually start to pupate or die after a while. They only eat honey, and whenever i actually put honey in with them they don't seem to do anything with it..
Alright well I have waited roughly 3 months for Mulberry farms to have large silkworms available and my shipment came in today. I open the second box and i see this thing in the corner of the box, and it looks like a piece of styrofoam except it's harder than styrofoam. The question I have is...
