The thread I started a month ago was closed because the breeder was involved. (I invited her so she knew what was going on.) She was incredibly insulted that I would even question that she wrongly sexed this baby. Because I "ruined" her business by posting on this forum she told me she will...
Thanks!
Thanks to everyone who responded. Its interesting because when I posted pictures a month ago the majority of the votes were male....but the end result was that we should wait and see how he/she develops to know for sure.
I will post again in a month or two and see what you all...
need to see more?
Thanks for the replies so far!
More pictures can be seen in this album posted below, although the ones posted at top of this thread were taken today.

Hi Everyone,
This little guy/gal was shipped to me in February as a 4 month old ambiloble male. After I questioned the breeder on size she said maybe he is only 3 months old, she could not remember.
Anyways, he/she has shed a few times and grown a bit (still on the small side) since I...
You can put large river stones over the soil in the cage. This will prevent your cham from eating the dirt, and the crickets from laying eggs. Just make sure the stones are bigger then your chams mouth.
For female Veiled Chameleons the care is different then for males. What kind of Chameleon are you thinking of buying? Female Veiled require lower temperatures and less food. They also have less color and smaller head casques.
My story
I got my Norman (male Veiled) at 1 week of age. I handled him very little for the first few weeks, and as he got older I started working with him more. I got him to the point where he will eat out of my hands, but he is still VERY aggressive. He hisses and bites and prefers NOT to...
Hi there,
I recently rescued a very ill Chameleon from a pet store. She went through surgery to remove an impaction and is now suffering from what I believe is a calcium and vitamin A vitamin deficiency. Next week after she has fully recovered from her surgery I will take her to get a blood...
So upset. :(
I took the over weight female Chameleon to see a vet today. At first he said that she looked pretty good overall, a tad overweight but not too bad. Turns out she lost 5 grams in 4 days. He suspected eggs, so took an x ray.
While viewing the results he said "I hope you are...
Thank you for your answers. I dont know if this is relevant but the two boys from the same clutch of baby chams at the store has severely curved casques. And one of the males was half the size of all his clutch mates. I read this could be hereditary but I was wondering if there are other...
Hi there,
Yesterday I was looking at some Veiled Chameleons at a pet store. They were all from the same clutch about 7 months old. I was really interested in the females, because I already have a male. The person working in the reptile department is suppose to be one of the most...
@Goonie: I missed the previous post so I am uncertain why everyone is acting the way they are. I just wanted to add that free ranging is the way to go, good for you!
would he get enough uvb from the natural light he gets from the window or should i go grab him the 5.0
If you mean...
Make sure you do not mix different species of frogs.
If you are looking for something cool I would say a plumed basilisk! They are beautiful, diurnal, and they do not hide. They love water so you could turn it into a semi aquatic tank and add tropical fish!
Seems like a lot of extra work. I used a tackle box, did not add any food or punch any wholes...the worms pupated within a week or two...I kept the beetles on oatmeal. After a month I took the beetles out and now I have hundreds of tiny worms hatching! :)
