    Rubbing eye on branches

He probably will not shed until September then, maybe later. Signs that they are about to shed would be wrinkly skin in my experience.

    Jackson Chameleon life span

Any idea why he did not live longer? I am sorry that he did not.

    How old is he?

    Rubbing eye on branches

My chameleon occasionally will scratch his eyes and head on a branch (usually his eye). Sometimes he'll even use his hind leg to scratch his head like a canine, but that is usually when a drop of water falls on his head or he's trying to get dead skin off. Scratching or rubbing their eyes on...

    Jackson Chameleon life span

I figure males are not affected, especially if they only breed once. But 9-10 years may be in the extreme, but from what I've heard jackson chameleons tend to live longer than most. I suppose someone could correct me on that.

    How "Smart" are chams?

HA! My, chameleon, Tricky (check out the video of him if you haven't seen it!) will put all of his fecal matter and urates right in front of the enclosure where I can see it. Piece of cake. :p he hardly ever does that business anywhere else.

    Need a name :)

That'd be cool if kept those colours, but he will be much brighter and more colorful relatively soon, most likely.

    Jackson Chameleon life span

So Jackson chameleons from what I understand can live 9 maybe 10 years, yes? At least the males. And the females will live less. Please confirm for me if the following is true. A jackson chameleon female, as with most chameleons will not live as long as a male, and live even less than they...

100 Days with my first chameleon

I totally get it. I cry every time I watch it (How To Train Your Dragon, the first film and the sequel), and it always will have a special place in my heart as well. I related so much to Hiccup. All my friends call me Hiccup and said if it was a live action film they should have casted me. XD...

100 Days with my first chameleon

A few days ago, was the 100th day that my jackson chameleon has been in my care. I took pictures almost everyday, and recorded several videos of him as he grew up. I am actually working on a video of the first year of his life. So obviously it will not be done until he turns 1 year old...

    Jumping Chameleon

My jackson doesn't seem to ever jump. He also will just extend his arms upwards when he wants to climb, even if nothing is there. This give me an impression that he is clumsy sometimes because he'll always fall on his stomach since there's nothing to grab onto, and he is just standing on two...

    Chameleons refusing to eat silkworms

I'm as picky as a pickle on sunday morning (I don't know I just made it up). Anyway, maybe your chameleons just aren't fans of worms? Maybe? Possibly? Likely? Supposedly? Absolutely? Positively? Indubitably?

    Cham eating substrate

Mine did this, but it wasn't substrate, it was soil of a plant. In my case though, he did this because his food wasn't gut loaded properly. But yes, you don't need substrate, just get rid of it, I'd say.

    ways to tame your cham

This may sound cruel, but it won't hurt him. As long as you give him plenty of water still, he can go a day without food. The next day, hold the food in your hand, and his hunger will act as an incentive to take the food from your hand. If this doesn't work (which it should) then try cup...

Romulus; second cham gone in as little as a few months.

That's horrible, and amazing at the same time. I am very sorry about that. I hope your next chameleon will be very happy and safe this time. I take my jackson chameleon, Tricky outside almost every day. Today is the 102nd day that he has been in my care. 6 months old! :) :D WHen I take...

    Jumping Chameleon

I think that the video is hilarious too. Do you think the chameleon was significantly hurt or injured though? I don't want to put my chameleon through pain, but at the same time I think it'd be awesome to see him jump. Especially if he jumped on me. XD

Big poop for youngster? looks normal??

What does he eat? That looks like an earth worm!

    Jumping Chameleon

Any idea WHY a chameleon would jump willingly like this? My jackson chameleon seems to sometimes have depth perception problems lol but ultimately he plays it safe and gets distance. He'd never jump from this high. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eChlwHqJUA

Where's the weirdest place your chameleon goes?

I doubt I'm the only one who has a chameleon which possess some sort of passion for dashing towards a keyboard. Does anyone else have a chameleon that seems so interested in the keyboard, and do any of you actually let the chameleon go there? Where is a place that you let your chameleon go...
