LOL!! I love that video, seen it about 1000 times and still laugh my ars off every time.
But it is not rare, they do jump.

I think that the video is hilarious too. Do you think the chameleon was significantly hurt or injured though? I don't want to put my chameleon through pain, but at the same time I think it'd be awesome to see him jump. Especially if he jumped on me. XD

Mostly made of water and evolved to drop or jump to escape with as little damage as possible. That being said, there is always a risk.

Jacksons are known to jump. Mine has jumped several times. My biggest concern is him breaking a horn. They can get injured so you have to be aware of this tendency. When I am carrying him I always am sure that I hold him so that jumping is not an option.

Jacksons are well known for it, but panthers will gladly do it as well. My younger ones are all too willing to leap from my arms when someone wants a picture. That is why I like the Nosy Be so much, they just extend their arms to climb upwards. So sweet..

My jackson doesn't seem to ever jump. He also will just extend his arms upwards when he wants to climb, even if nothing is there. This give me an impression that he is clumsy sometimes because he'll always fall on his stomach since there's nothing to grab onto, and he is just standing on two legs. When this happens I usually just put him close to my chest and he'll climb right put to my shoulder. Then hair.
