My veiled layed 62 two days ago. Is that too many or about average?

Apparently I am wrong on the tails. I pride myself on my knowledge of useless stuff like that but I guess I missed this one. :rolleyes:

Not the teeth, the tail. Those two things hanging off the back to be exact.

I wouldn't recommend it. That being said, I would bet they eat much worse in the wild. If it moves and it edible size they will probably try it if they are hungry.:)

We are an hour south of you and we got a little ice on the trees but not enough to cause any damage. It sure is a cold rain though.

They aren't the only store selling them. Just google "screen chameleon cage" and a bunch of places come up. I bought two from somewhere and I was amazed at how simple they are. If I need some more I may just build them.

Do you know who you talked to at Aquatic Critter? Most of the guys are pretty good but I haven't been very much lately. I actually bought one of my veileds at Aquatic Critter and one at Emerald Bay and both have been healthy. What kind of cham was at EB that was eggbound? BTW, I missed...

You can save on UV lighting since the cham creates it's own. :D

Hopefully I am! I have been in the MTRC since the start but haven't been very active the last couple of years. I used to have a great looking tank with lots of sps but I have let it go a little down hill lately. I had some bad luck with mysterious coral die offs so I got a little discouraged...

Are you talking about actinic bulbs? I don't think they would be good for a cham. For one thing they can really hurt your eyes if you look at them not going through water.

We have an air cleaner that we run at night that makes some noise. It really probably doesn't do anything but if it is quiet every little noise wakes me up. I can't sleep if the TV or radio is on. With a radio, I will fall asleep during a song but when it changes I wake back up again.
