Hey Guys! I was wondering if anyone else on the forums pokes holes in the reptiworms. I've read on multiple sites you are suppose to do that ? Can anyone give me a inside on this? Note these are for a 3 month veiled
Also Welcome to the forums:) I found this very helpful!

Things I would do :
1) Get rid of substrate at the bottom
2) Get rid of water bowl, unless she is drinking from it on the reg, and even then clean it every day and I would still mist 2-5 times a day
3) Meal worms are very hard on a chameleon, from what I hear due to the hard shell causing...
Which is true, they will find it, but Like I said they eat 15 plus a day. In my opinion I would want my baby cham as full and happy as possible. So you can let a couple free range the cage walls to let the little guy get some exercise in , but I would look into cup feeding for the most part...
24x24x48 is a very large cage for a baby. My suggestion is use a feed cup, gut load them in the container that you keep them in. Dust the ones you are going to feed your chameleon every day with calcium without d3 . You dont want to keep crickets over night in a cage, just in case a cricket...
Hello! This a thread started for the Luie and Camille's great grands! I'm excited to see how everyone's babies turn out. I invite not only the great grands owners but other viewers to take part in this thread! I hope everyone enjoys because I know I sure will!
Veileds are known for that temper, I would keep working with him, but instead of just letting him climb around you, take him outside , I have a couple of plants my little guy climbs all around in. Also, give him treats , like hornworms or silkworms, something different than what you are feeding...
I would go get new potting soil, as fresh as possible, more than likely they are in the soil. That's where I seen them at in my outside plants, they all need new potting
Exactly!:) That's what I love about the forums, I love sharing ideas with people and them actually knowing where I come from. Instead of everyone else that asks me about my cham, and I cant relate to them at all lol
To each his own, and I understand what you are getting at, my point was coming off as bowl of water being the only water source. The reason I wouldn't have a bowl in a cage is that I couldn't see if the chameleon is drinking his own waste even though the bowl was clean the morning when I left...
I agree , without proper cleaning of plants it can cause mold and other bacteria to grow on them, but he also said every few days. My concern being as stated above that feces, dead feeders, urates(IE wastes of the body), and what not being in the water. Say if you work a 9-5 job, and you cant...
My opinion , get rid of the bowl, unless you can wash it every hour and put freshwater in it(bacteria build up, due to stagnant water) . Even though it is odd a chameleon drinking from a bowl.
Merlin has found a favorite spot in my room, he is starting to willing run to the front of the cage to greet me just to get a treat and to come out a play. He spends 2 hours atleast out side of his cage , either outside sun bathing or inside climbing my curtains. He is super sweet , and I cant...
