This is an old post and you probably already know but it is a female. She is old enough to show female patterns and coloration. Her tail base is also very thin, anus area bulges out compared to the tail base.
I know near to nothing about parasites, but by looking at these pictures and photos in the book "Parasitology in Snakes, Lizards and Chelonians" I wonder, can they be hatching worm eggs? Maybe pinworm (Oxyurid)? I don't want to give false ideas, just guessing and trying to help.
They are so sweet, I hope all the babies will find great homes. :D You only can ship them in U.K. I suppose? I can't understand how such rare, small and beautiful species can be underrated by people. :(
Whatsapp groups were our (me and 5-6 friends) way of communication. But I don't like it too much because it takes away useful information and some interesting media from the forums. And even if not very frequent, there is drama. Even without drama there is a developing "group mentality". I don't...
Keeping seahorses is definitely easier than cephalopods (in general, of course it depends on the species). In a home aquarium your best bet would probably be a dwarf octopus species, but you need a REALLY tightly sealed aquarium. The smaller the animal is in comparison to the aquarium, the...
Hello fellow chameleon addicts,
I will be (hopefully) moving to Germany in 3 weeks and I would like to communicate with other chameleon keepers and breeders from Germany or even the neighboring countries. I will be living in Hessen, so every other major city in Germany are going to be both "far...
Do other keepers also report this behavior in malthe? Very interesting. Can't it be about moisture in the soil helping him shed?
Hopefully we will see more of these guys from you :)
They published it in Turkish, I got it. :) I wasn't expecting it to be published in Turkish, but I will also buy English version when it comes here. Apparently English version -which is basically "american version"- comes here too, but a few weeks or a month later then USA publishing date.
Before watching the video, I wasn't expecting to see... chams head... underwater??? His mouth, nose and eyes are all underwater most of the "swimming" time! I was saying "omg, OMG, owww OMG" out loud as his head was going under and above the water again and again. At least torture for ME to...
Video was great. Some really funny chams in the first minute! :D Very informative too of course, thanks Chris.
Gonna read the article too and buy the magazine if I can find it in Turkey.
This can be too long or complicated of a treat, sorry. I am confused and not a native english speaker. :embressment:
Well… I could not find any DETAILED OR EXACT answer or explanation for many questions. Mostly people just generalise or say their "opinion" when they answer these questions or...
Thanks! :) I don't really know. Her father is a Blue Barred Ambilobe with lots of green, yellow, orange, white and many red dots.
The mother is a mystery, unknown local  Seller said her father was "blue" though. So, she may be Nosy Be/Nosy Faly/Ambanja/BB Ambilobe. Seller could be...
She is just 2 months old, but she has freakin' green on her?! :D Her older sisters and brothers (2,5-3 months old) does not even have any other color then brown, white and black (some have just a bit of yellow and red ; also one male has sometimes green scales on head :p ). Compared to any...
My English is not fluent so I may use wrong words or I may have misunderstood some things I read.
I had a female Jackson's at last autumn. I named her Xantastasia. She was an adult and I bought her right after she was imported from Europe. She lived like 5-6 weeks without a single problem...
They are not gonna be so much similer I think, my boy (Tobi) has lot less red/orange but they look similar to me. :)
This is from just before mating, he have never been more colorful before or after that :
An that is a more normal time:
So much of a lovely boy. :) He just looks like as if he is a little brother of my Ambilobe son. :D
I like blue chams more generally, but these dudes have white-yellow-red-orange-green-blue-dark green on them. Your eyes will be pleased, especially when he finds a lovely lady cham.:p
Thanks, they are really cute and sometimes annoying but all babies are like that I guess. :D
House flies are not being bred or sold in Turkey.
I can find pinheads or cricket eggs next week hopefully.
They eat and poop very fast and much. But when they are younger than 1 month of age, they do not eat more than maybe 10-15 flies per day (they eat less the day after). People say hatchlings eat 20-30 flies per day. When I give more flies it takes 2-3 day for them to eat them all (I do...
My 10 baby panthers hatched and growing well (I guess...?). First baby hatched at 04-18-2015 and last on hatched at 06-22-2015. I don't know why but they hatched unsynchronized. Approx 2 babies hatched every week.
I wanted to mention this long hatching period because my babies are not quiet big...
