If someone can please just confirm that he is in fact a he that would be super. he is around 3 months and yes I know that his shed skin makes it look like hes wearing frilly gloves and boots but that doesn't make him a girl.
ive had no luck with getting my veiled to eat veggies yet, he did take some lettuce but spat it out. he is only around 3 months tho and a bit on the skinny side so im not that worried about putting him on a diet yet, just making sure his crix are well fed.
i noticed when we turned our heating up that our baby veiled started moving around his cage more even though it barely made any difference to his temps.
im not gonna give him anymore mealworms as there was a partially undigested one in his poop. i only give him a couple over a few days but it;l be just crix and the occasional waxworm for a while.
I got a tub of crix and a tub of mini mealworms for a quid today because they were delivered to the pet shop virtually dead. i brought them home and stuck them in front of the radiators and it looks like a few are coming around.
So Doc my baby veiled male has just shed for the first time since i got him around 3 weeks ago. it happened really quickly and he seems fine but i noticed him eating some of the skin he had shed. hes been eating regularly and his poo is fine so i guess im just wondering if any other members have...
both pet shops near me haven't received their deliveries due to the snow so im almost in the same position. Doc has had a good feed over the last few days and ive got a few crix for tomorrow with a few wax worms too but i dont want to give him too many of the waxies so i hope they get some soon.
you can order just about any live foods from plenty of websites and get them delivered to your door, usually for about the same price as local pet stores.
How old is she? basking temps seem quite high if she is only a baby as you say. And what is your night bulb? All lights should be turned off at night. Im sure more experienced keepers can provide greater help here.
you can get ficus and umbrella plants from B and Q places like that and they only cost a few quid. if you dont have a local exotic pet suppliers then amazon has everything you need with regards to bulbs, supplements and even feeders. you can pick up thermometers and hygrometers dirt cheap.
ah cool, i thought it was natural but started to worry a bit. I will get a pic up when i get home. I used to be the most chilled out person in the world but as soon as i got a cham ive been Mr. Panic.
Hi can someone post a pic of what burns look like on a chameleon?
Im probs just being worried but i just read in another post that a cham has burns and they are brown and my baby veiled has had a light brown ridge down his casque and spine since i got him. Im sure that he cant get burnt in...
