I don't mind either way really, if they let me keep it i'll partition it off so Shiver has still got a smallish area.
If i've gotta send it back i'll re-order the 22 gallon ( don't really want to pay to re-ship though ).
I would like to design my own cage for when she's adult though.
I'll...
Yeah, i bet they make them for pennies.
I think the company is bits for pets - i put the link up for the 38 gallon in "mesh cages" topic.
There's nothing on the invoice saying it's a substitute cage, it may have just been picked wrong at the warehouse - i've decided i'm going to e-mail...
I'm going to hang on for a week to see if they get in touch - i feel really sneaky and dis-honest though :(
If i don't hear off them though i'll use it - great idea that Sean, thanks :)
I have a few pieces of ply wood in the garage, there should be one that fits. I think i'll use the top...
Well, i ordered a 22 gallon flexarium for Shiver - it arrived this morning.
The only problem is, it's not the 22 gallon that i ordered and payed for - it's the 65 gallon that's twice the price :D
Should i do the honest thing and inform the company of their mistake or should i keep hold of...
That's a fantastic idea!!! I've got about 6 old fish pumps lying around and about 20' of air line lol, i'll have a go at making it :D
I've ordered the 22 gallon flexarium so should have a near ideal home for Shiver soon. :D
Great advise, thanx guys ;) :D
I've got a good supply of paper towels lol - using them in my stick insect tank, much easier & cheaper than substrate.
Now ( please don't shout at me ) i was thinking of putting my mealworms in the same tank as the stick insects - is this a good idea or will...
Cool :)
I'm going to buy lots of real plants when i get this cage, should i get the tray for underneath too?
I've got the reptile carpet, another lamp with a 60w bulb and a nice big selection of bugs - just bought some indian walking sticks :)
Hehe, it'll be Euro's, it £22.99 GBP which would be roughly $35??? ( UK is always more expensive than USA :( )
Do you think the 38 gallon will be too big? :)
I've been searching for a mesh cage for Shiver and couldn't find any in local stores so i extended my search to the internet.
I've found a site selling them, there's a 22 gallon and a 38 gallon, here's the link to the 38 gallon...
That's a good idea, even if he gets the all clear off the vet it will put your mind at rest that it's nothing serious.
Hope everything goes ok for you - he certainly looks better to me :)
Great set-ups Dave :)
She's a little cutie and looks ok to me.
I've just taken all of my substrate out too, i've bought a load of reptile carpet and i'm putting paper towels underneath to soak up the excess water.
I'm changing the paper towels every day :)
I personally would be more concerned about my chameleons health than the cost of treatment, i know it can be expensive especially if you're on a tight budget but you have to take all of this into account when you buy the animal.
It's worth a trip to the vet's just to put your mind at rest :)
Hi, i'm new to keeping chameleons so somebody else will be able to give much better advice than me.
I personally put only 3 -5 crickets in at a time, i'll do this 2 -3 times a day depending on how many she's eating.
If i'm feeding waxworms i feed them by hand and hoppers i try to feed by...
